I too am getting people reporting loot not spawning, however this was on a server that was just setup with a new instance and only had about 2-3 players testing it. The fully populated servers were running okay.

Just had this on my server as well, Not too sure what caused it, seems likely chopper related. Line 12 in my stripts.txt has: 5 EjectPlayer The whole server was kicked off basically.

So far we seem to be able to "comfortably" run 2x 50 slot servers on our setup (first post). Our ping limit ensures we are not full 24/7 but get about 4-6 hours of low to moderate usage before they are full again. Server FPS seems to hover around 5, which in any other game would be terrible, but seems to be fine for DayZ. So far deleting the arma2 config *seems* to have made a slight improvement but it's hard to tell without a way to monitor server FPS. -

ANZ2 is on veteran mode. no 3rd person or crosshairs.

Would be better if you could "place meat on fire" and walk away from it to cook it. If you return before a certain time, the meat will still be rare. After a certain time it is "cooked" and if left there for too long "burnt" i.e. garbage. That way you can have the realistic long (or not as short) cooking time without being stuck in animation for x minutes. If you get attacked and have to bail from your meat well... such is life in the zone.

Arma 2 generally won't use more than 2-3GB per instance so there's pretty much 28GB of wasted RAM. What CPU's are they? 2.4ghz doesn't sound like it would be a high end xeon or anything.

Why you would want to play arma 2 with those crappy textures is beyond me... Buy the full game, don't be so stingey...

Er, may I ask what a "clean" shut down actually entails, we have been given no info on how to manage these servers so I'm scraping together information where I can find it.

The devs are already under a lot of load, it sucks but I think just move on rather than give them more work.

We have no problem with that, but the server at least needs to be up first so we can manage it... I'd love to install it myself to take some pressure off rocket but at least for now it doesn't seem plausible.

The first month is already paid for. The server is up and running ready to go just waiting for Rocket to log in and configure it. Might need to reset the donations page for the next month and carry over what's currently been given, seems to be confusing a few people. yeah we will get it up, loving your sig and avatar btw hahah.

Well I guess, but it's not really "donating" really seeing as the server is just paid for by us.

we have 4TB of data for the month. We will go for probably a single 50 slot server. We'll be monitoring bandwidth and adjusting the amount of slots/instances as we go. The donations page is still current, Ignore all of freeborne's donations that was mainly for testing. It's $475 a month to run this server, so the more donations the better.

99% sure there will be a ping limit. Probably set it to about 250 or so as a rough guess, maybe less.
