So, I am at the point of driving off a cliff. I have been battling BattlEye trying to get it to update for 3 days now, I have tried every trick/tutorial/magic trick/spell in the damn book and NOTHING is working. This is what im getting when joining a server: 15-30 seconds later I am kicked for BattlEye "Failing to Update". I have run steam in admin, same with arma2oa, I have disabled firewalls, turned off UAC and DEC, re-installed countless times, changed CD keys, verified files a thousand times, manually installed BE countless times, gotten files from friends who have working versions and still nothing, duck tape, hammering, restarting, reinstalling, running without dayz commander, running without steam, and pretty much anything else you could think of. I contacted BattlEye to see if PERHAPS their firewall banned my IP and is preventing me from updating, but short of a f**king voodoo curse, i have no idea whats going on. Please for god sakes, help me. I will PAY to have this solved at this point. Thank you in advance guys.

ya I gotta be honest im VERY disapointed that humanity and bandit/survivor kills are not shown. those are very basic score keeping features that make dayz that much better. There should be a display that shows: Humanity: Bandit Kills: Murders: Zombies killed: Days Alive:

Totally agreed. Interesting idea, but not feasible for a game that is already horrifically overrun with trolls and hackers. I'm sure if integrated there would be a hacker script that would: food= poison(all)

UPDATE: I was in the same server and saw that the pilot in this video was banned by battleye lol. At least now we know why we couldn't shoot it down!

Sorry to necro a thread but you gotta see this, I saw this while i was running outside a field near elektro. I managed to take a screenshot but when I tried to run up to it i got shot at and lost sight of it. Bigfoot is a damn son of a bitch who steals beans and meat from people who need it. I saw we hunt down this mythical beast and beat his head in! WHOS WITH ME!?

Honestly, I have a series of DayZ video that are pretty popular and what makes the videos that much better to watch is the fact that they are max 10 mins long. No one wants to spend 25 minutes of their lives watching you run around looking for beans. You need to use some editing magic and get to the good parts to keep people engaged. Just my 2 cents.

DirtyCry is being a little harsh but he is right, you might as well try and trade a can of beans for a AS50. Tents are dime a dozen, ghilie suits are not. Good luck.

To answer your question, one of us had a mk48 and definitely unloaded a clip on that thing. He was in the middle of the firefight while i was in the forest trying to snipe. Unfortunately he wasn't recording at the time :(

Well, thankfully I got killed. Speaking of hacking accusations though I don't think that chopper was legit... We shot it to shit and it wasn't even smoking...is it possible to hack-fix a chopper mid flight?

Not sure to be honest, I noticed that too when I re-watched the video. The zombies were doing damage but didn't manage to make me bleed, thankfully.

I found 3 soldier clothes packs in a hackers tent. I sported it for a while and really didn't see much advantage to it, If anything it was more obvious than standard camo. I don't think banning players for having hacker weapons or cloths is a good thing, alot of new players don't know the ins and outs of dayz and end up stumbling into hacked weapons that they assume are legitimate. I think the solutions is detecting these scripts before hackers can ever enter the game.

I wanted to share this with you guys. Spent 2 hours fixing a hatchback, drove by an admin and then all kicked so they could take our car. Rest assured I reported this server/clan on the forums but I wanted everyone to see exactly why some of these servers NEED to be blacklisted cause they destroy the game

I don't plan to play there again, I am simply trying to draw attention to the vast amount of shitty server owners out there. I think the DayZ devs should consider being more strict with their whitelisting.

Same server, admins are fucking kicking me every time I join, same with other players. These guys need to be shutdown I hope my original report gets approved soon.
