Update from my post this morning not working :( it loads the server then drops me to server list :(

this applies to me i have been trying to join game for about 2 days now and it loads up fine and right before i join dumps me back to the server browser I cant confirm if it is fixed or not because im at work but i will try as soon as i get home i rain perfectly until 1.5.8.3 3 and 4 are the problems for me Thanks rocket !

I agree the barbed wire is so annoying... cant get into some common spawn buildings and there is no way around it and its very annoying Also i have never had a problem with server hopping but im sure its a problem, would like a 15 sec logout time period to be added or once your out of combat

im sure thats what every one looks like playing this game secretly of course

i think thats a really good idea, the reward could be good. But youll have bandits sitting on rooftops picking people off But i think the idea and strategy of getting the goods is worth it

i agree a fan made trailer, some people have amazing editing skills let the fans make trailers and give the best a prize

Okay ive seen a lot of people having trouble trying to get the game to work im going to spell it out in plain English for you guys. 1 Purchase this - http://store.steampowered.com/sub/4638/ It comes with Arma 2 and the Opperation Arrowhead Addon You will need both of these games to play the mod, and this bundle saves you 10$ 2. Install both games, this will take a while depending on your internet they are both large file games 3. Once both games are finished Downloading exit steam. re open in steam in administrative mode, (right click steam, run as admin) 4. Start up Arma 2, let it install the files it needs may take a minute or two, let the game get to the main menu then exit it. 5. Start Arma 2 Arrowhead, a window will come up and ask you if you want to play arrowhead or combined, press just arrowhead, let it install then exit again from the menu. 6. Now start arma 2 arrowhead in combined mode let it install, exit from menu again. 7. Downloading mod files - Link - http://www.armafiles.info/dayz/ Right click each link except the parent directory and the old/ and press save link as, put them where you can find them desktop is the easiest. 8. Download winrar, if you dont all ready have it - Link - http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm 9. Now its time to install, Open my computer go to your C: Drive, then go to program files - steam - steamapps - common - Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead 10. Once in there right click and make a new folder, name it @DayZ 11. open that @DayZ folder and make a folder inside of it called Addons (do not forget the S) 12. Add all of the rar files you downloaded and the change log to the addons folder 13. Highlight all the rar files by holding ctrl and clicking each one, then right click one of them and press "Extract here" it will do its thing nd extract all the rar files 14. Now delete all of the rar files from the addons folder 15. Exit the folders and go into steam, go to your games library and right click on Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead, hit properties and Set Launch Options 16. In the box that comes up enter this - "-mod=@dayz -nosplash" with out the commas " 17. Press okay and close the properties box 18. Launch Arma 2 Arrowhead, and press the Combined button, hit play 19. let the game load up could take a sec or two. 20. The game should now be open, if you get an "Requires addon "CaBuildingParts" error, click OK and ignore it" 21. In the upper right hand corner under the Arma 2 logo you should see @DayZ 22. If that is there your half way there. 23. Hit multiplayer, and let the servers load up, double click the heading that says Missions so it sorts the servers, scroll down till you see a bunch called DayZ 24. Pick a server that is all most full like 40/50 or 25/30 those are the best ones to be in, not only because they have other players but they have good server response times and are quick joining. 25. Join a server it will load up and bring you to a menu screen press okay in the bottom right and it will load up and join the game. If you installed correctly the game should continue on and put you into the world 26. Good luck and happy playing ! Read each step carefully, this method works i did this step by step and it worked for me and a friend, i will be making a video of how to install it once i find time, but for now you have to read. Try joing a EU server or other popular all most full servers they are quick and easy to get it they are just full most of the time but with some time you can get in and you will join quickly

I would really like to see an arizona server. i love here and it would be nice to have the arizona current time and weather conditions (since its all ways sunny :p )

Make sure your when your installing the folder names are correct the first being @DayZ then the folder inside that one is Addons ... make sure you have the S i forgot it the first time and it will not let the mod work with out it and i dont think the beta will work you need to either purchase the game or download the free one

maybe it is because you have the free version ?

Try joining allmost full servers like if its 33/40 or 40/50 those are the best quick servers ive noticed some of the less populated servers tend to take a while to connect to
