    Controversial Topic: BANDITRY IS DEAD.

People who let themselves get robbed are stupid anyways. Better to at least try to kill them instead of just giving your stuff up. Even if you die, you were losing your stuff to the robber anyways. Either way, you're starting over to a degree. If it was a group mugging me, I'd at least try to take one of them out with me. Of course, this is if you aren't worried so much about your score (zombies killed, head shots, days lived, etc.).
  2. Do the care bears not realize this is a game? People think it's boring because they're always getting killed, I think it's awesome and gives a feel of constant danger. This game would be boring if everyone was friendly. Oh, we have all our supplies now, let's hide in the woods. What, no zombies? Hmm, what now?

    Realistic to shoot on site?

If you think this is in any way relevant to this game, you're an idiot. Quit raging. People can play however the hell they please and just because they KoS in game doesn't mean they're murderers or are going to do it in real life. Pointless thread. This is a game in case you didn't realize. If you're dumb enough to get yourself shot by another player, then rethink your play style and adapt.
  4. So today after numerous deaths, I ended up killing a few people for the first time. One I got a head shot with my AK 74 while he was shooting zombies at the deer stands near Balota for their M9 SD and AKM and the other because he was too close to me. The rush was amazing. It feels great to kill and live. I used to avoid players and combat, but this is just too much to pass up. Later a friend and I hid out in an industrial area at the docks near Balota. We lured people in with voice comm. and lit them up for blood bags, weapons, ammo, etc. Before then we destroyed a survivor at the airfield near Balota, he was unarmed and heading up the air control tower where we knew a weapon was, we couldn't let him live. We are bandits now. I now understand why you do what you do. We join your ranks with our assault rifles armed and ready. We will see you up North. :D

    I Have Become A Bandit

It's their fault for falling for it if I'm in their sarcastically yelling "Oh ah, ouchie, my leg is broked. I need morphines and other substances to live, help meh"
  6. The players are meant to be the true fear drivers in this game. Like someone else said, look at almost any zombie film. They all show that humans are a much bigger threat than zombies, fuck, look at The Walking Dead. They have many human encounters with gangs, another group, and this new season looks like it'll be very driven by humans trying to control humans. Zombies are mindless predictable creatures, humans are much more interesting.

Has rocket given up on DayZ?

Have you not noticed all the recent patches and updates? I'd say they're too busy working on the game.
  8. My opinion is u mad. Learn to play better and you wont have to worry about getting killed.
  9. If I was playing badly, I'd appreciate someone killing me. I'd know I messed up and need to adapt better. I run through buildings only when I have nothing to lose and loot to gain but I've never d/c'd to get rid of zombies. I just lose them in the woods or something. He had it coming. lol
  10. Your game already exists, it's called Left 4 Dead 2. o:

I kill players because of Alt+F4

I agree. I've never alt+F4'd from an attack. I tried alt+F4 earlier today for a quick log out and it didn't work, just popped up some commands. Don't know if this is just me or if they implemented something, but I hope they have.
  12. Someone whining about being killed for no reason when there's a perfectly valid reason is retarded. I play a survivor, I've never killed anyone and I've been playing weeks now. I will only kill if I need to. I will avoid people if I can. I as a survivor am saying this guy is an idiot and wasn't careful enough. Call me an asshole if you want, but most of the survivors on this forum are just whiny babies. This game is all about survival, if you can't survive, you die and get your shit stolen. That's how it is and that's what makes this game awesome. A lot of the bandits understand this and that is why they mock some of the bitchy survivors here.
  13. Well, people with vehicles tend to have some decent loot, so they didn't attack you for nothing. They attacked you for your shiny toys.

    DayZ Stories

After raiding Elktro yesterday, I had plenty of medical supplies, all I needed to survive by myself in the woods, and a revolver. I decided I needed a shotgun or some sort of primary, so I ran to the high value barn near Prigor. I slowly approached from the North and made my way to the top to find a double barrel. I stopped and thought I may as well raid the other buildings. I snuck slowly across the open area outside the barn into the stable area, finding nothing but a pile of wood. I sighed and snuck out the back to the residential on the North side of the stables. I finally found an enfield which I quickly replaced my shotgun with in case I ran into other players. Now satisfied I moved to the back door and checked if it was clear. I pulled out the enfield to test out the sights since I hadn't used one in weeks. Just as I switched back to my revolver I heard zombies screaming from the back end. I saw one come in and slightly panicked, thinking I had somehow alerted them, then I heard it, foot steps. I turned to see another survivor with the shotgun I had just dropped. I yelled friendly (I really don't do pvp unless I have to) to him and he promptly shot me in the arm. I turned and ran quickly as I could out the front, continuing to yell friendly. It didn't matter, he wasn't stopping and blasted me down with a few more shots. I died quickly next to a wrecked car. I found myself on the docks of Cherno, I thought it was a decent spot as I could run to the fire house from here. I moved quickly, attracting a few zombies who chased me until I ran into the diner for cover. I found a crowbar and figured it was better than nothing before I moved out the back entrance going as fast as I could to the fire house. I got their with only one zed pursuing me. The garage was empty and as I turned to evaluate the situation a survivor ran past me. I yelled friendly and told him I only had a crowbar, and he quickly lit me up with what seemed like an AKS-74. I didn't stand a chance and dropped to the ground bleeding heavily while zeds swarmed in surrounding me. I lost sight of the survivor; I imagine he took advantage of the zeds eating away my flesh and made his way out. All this happened around two hours ago. I now find myself in the woods with a revolver, an AKS-74 Kobra and a Remington 870 (flashlight) in my Alice pack, compass, watch, a map, and supplies. I never understood why someone would waste ammo on a survivor with nothing or with only a crowbar. I can understand axe murderers, but a crowbar would take at least 8 hits to kill, haha. Oh well, I found some much better loot and now I'm going to be much more careful.

How "safe" do you play ?

I generally play reckless while I have nothing to lose. I'll run into Elektro or Cherno after just spawning to grab anything I can. Never gone badly for me. I've been shot at once in Elektro doing this, but the missed and I hide and proceeded to sing to them on direct comm. until I got bored and started looting again. Usually get a decent weapon and random supplies. One place I've never been attacked is the grocery store in the very Southwest of Cherno. I play in a 4-7 man team usually, so once we meet up we stick to woods, away from roads, and very cautiously navigate and loot in formation or teams. Works out pretty well.
  16. Why do people feel the need to post this crap? No one cares and you're not smooth.
  17. Nashy08

    My favourite bandits!

Now these people are bandits. I'd love to see more like this rather than 12-year-old retards bragging about being bandits when they just shoot anything that moves. Play CoD or something for that, this is a game for wits.
  18. Sounds like you're mad if you're making a forum post about it.
  19. I agree, we do need less shoot on sight and a little more cooperation from survivors, but this would be punishing solo players. The game would be extremely boring without the PvP and I am a survivor, not a bandit. The fear of other players in towns is awesome and just fighting zombies would be kind of lame, I could play L4D or something if I wanted that. As a survivor, I say we just need to cut KOS a bit and have a little more trust, but not punish. I don't think many of the people supporting this really understand the negative affects it would have on the game. Let Rocket create his vision without advice that would gimp the game and make take the fun out of it.

    Quick Start Cherno

This method worked for me in Elektro until someone started shooting at me from the church. I sang to them on direct comm. and then left as they didn't respond. Good method as long as you don't get shot.
