I've looked everywhere, and can't find any kind of sniper rifle. Being a marksman; that really makes my job hard. Winchester is the only thing I come across, and the occasional MP5, AK, Revolver and Makarov. Any suggestions for good spawn chances?

Whenever I try to launch the Beta OA by using the shortcut, the little tickbox loading screen loads, gets to the last two, then stops responding. Any help?

Please note that I have been playing DayZ perfectly for 3 days with no issues, before today. Now, whenever I run Arma2 OA Beta patch (DayZ) this thing loads up, and stops loading at the point you see here: http://imgur.com/DjYeO Shortly after it vanishes. And then nothing. Using the Six launcher works, but I get stuck on the black "Loading" screen. Always. Once again, no issues before today. I am running the latest Sixlauncher, Arma OA version and DayZ version.

Don't use the Six Launcher. I find that it causes me to "Crash" for 1 to 3 seconds every few seconds whilst playing. Run the game directly from the source. Also, play with alll settings set to Lowest or Low.

This is happening to me now too. Never had this problem before a couple of hours ago. Now, the game won't even start unless I use the Six Launcher.

Joined a random server, noticed I was thirsty. Drank some pepsi, the second I clicked Drink Soda Can I was kicked. Known issue or wut? D:

Do I HAVE to abort and then completely rejoin the server? Can't I just respawn?

Recent patch has forced tents and vehicles outside of the map range to be deleted/respawned after server restarts, dunno if that has anything to do with it.

But the map doesn't show me where I am, (Making it completely useless for a new player because I don't know where *anything* is) OR guide me to waypoints that I set. is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

Thank you both. Seems I found a server that allows me to see waypoints and my location. I tried to locate myself via town names ETC but because I have to play with the lowest graphics settings you'd be surpised how unreadable they are haha!

Anybody else fighting this issue? I play with the lowest possible settings, since I play on a laptop. It's playable, no lag or stutters during the day, even if it rains. However, Night time, instant lag. Night time with rain = Completely unplayable and can barely move. Are there any .config files I can fool around with to increase performance?
