I play dayz at night and my server gets hacked during the day most of the time, Since the bullshit rules for the server i pay for says i cant password the server to keep asshole hackers out , I am shutting my server down till i am ready to play and can monitor my server for hackers. Hackers cant hack the server if it isnt up lol

use arma rcon gui and ban the assholes

he pays for the server , if your have a hacked weapon have some respect and throw it in debug and walk away from it. He gave you a warning

He makes a good point, time for this mod to go private , nothing is getting fixed anyways and standalone is on its way

you dont need any proof just ban is hacking ass , you are the server admin and you saw it with your own eyes that is proof

Why admin abuse is brought up on this forum anyways is terrible. If a admin pays for the server he should be able to monitor it how he wants , if you don't like it go get your own server. Admins aren't the problem here its the devs not listening to the public, For months we asked for stupid barbed wire to go away , and still no answer now hackers move all the vehicles to debug and sandbag them and barb wire them, guess what you cant remove them in debug. Would this of happened in a pass worded server no. More and more people are dropping from the game and that should be a sign , I'm not saying there isn't new people playing but give them a week of getting teleported and they will quit to . If that is how you want to run this mod more power to you. I wont be a part of it

There inst a tool out there for this mod helping us right now, We are losing the battle to hackers and over the months you will see the new players dropping due to hacking. if i was in rockets position i would make the public happy until my standalone game is done. You saw the first response from the dayz team. That is not a answer to the problem , there is only 1 fix from hacking in this arma 2 engine and that is pass worded servers. yeah we can spend days looking through server logs which is a jumbled mess. This game is different then all other games out there in the fact you can save your items that you work hard to get then some idiot comes in and teleports you to the ocean and there isn't a respawn button now, so now what do you want to swim for 3 hours or go play something else.

here is a idea For the server admins why don't you offer an incentive for example. Since the game is going standalone in the future anyways, Why don't you set a rule for every server admin that pays for a server you are allowed 1 pass worded server but you have to keep 1 public server with same amount of players up not pass worded. This way you can see what regular players play on your server and then they can start playing on the pass worded server cheat free. We all know the problem with hacking isn't going to get fixed, 21 players in my clan quit playing this game due to hacking and all it would of took was a password server and we could of enjoyed the game. All i want is a answer why we cant password our servers.How does it affect this mod playing in a passworded server, Can anyone answer that.

lol How can you compare battleye to PB , There is a big difference on what punkbuster can do that battleye cant when it comes to monitoring servers. I know i have never gotten teleported in bf3.

The only solution to hackers in this game is passworded servers. The devs know it and server admins know it.

shut your server down till you come on , to many rules in this mod to let some random guy monitor your server.

yeah the only reply we get is we wil get blacklisted lol I agree with a server shutdown and it should be for a whole week almost like a server strike . i think they would listen then all i want is passworded servers where we let the public in but we have more control who comes in.

I came to the decision that its not worth playing this game with all the hackers and running a server and having no control just isnt worth paying for. Good luck to other server admins that keep your servers

Thats how its always been since the beginning with this mod , Server admins are always the bad guys and for this forum to have a ban thread where the public can bash server admins is retarded. My server us607 is getting shutdown for good and my whole clan quit playing this game. When they ok passworded servers i will be back . Thanks for all the good post on here and hopefully the devs listen to the guys that keep there mod going because its us that pay for servers that keep games and mods going.

yeah ped 24/7 admins my server went to 40 players full 27/7 to 8 players a day. I love when people who don't host servers post because they don't know the problems server admins dal with, All were doing is stating a point that the only way to protect servers from the rampant hacking is let us password protect our server.

i guess when the devs realize there isn't any servers to play there mod on maybe they will think back and say damn those server admins were right. I dont see how it would affect the mod by letting us password the servers., there would be more control of players, and i bet more people would rent a server.i guess the devs just have control issues, never played a mod where there was so many rules to play the game and host servers.

But we got a dev on here bragging about 1 million players but there isnt a million servers, Only way i bring my server back is if its passworded, Devs need to quit the dumb rules and worry about saving there mod.I guess its going standalone anyways if arma 3 has client side scripting there wont be a point of buying standalone because it will be hacked the first day out.

and as i predicted servers are slowly going away, might have a million players but not a million servers, time to let us password the servers being saying this for a while now. I shut my down during the day when there isnt a admin on then i bring it up when i am ready to play.

That is the only answer i have if there isnt a admin during the day to monitor the server then it shouldnt be up, If i get black listed for it then its one less server for the public to play in. need servers to play a mod unless devs are paying for servers now

why pay for a server anyways numbers have dropped on many servers because of hackers, so im going to shutdown my server and when im ready to play ill bring it up and the public is welcome to play in it with me.
