  1. Nr. 6.

Always after a server decides to reset my character to the beach upon loging in. I don't mind dying to zombies or people, that stuff gives me a thrill! Servers acting up really get to me though. Tried to report that issue, but I'm unable to send feedback reports, I can't select my game version in the form. -_-

Then I'm pretty much at stage 7.

  2. Aw Miffy, don't let it get you down.

The main advantage in using instancing is it removes the possibility of people server hopping to get round defences - which has so far been the death knell of all attempts to create player-controlled bases.

I don't think it will kill DayZ. We do need some form of social hub, and unless you want to create safe zones where friendly fire is disabled - and how realistic would that be? - instancing is the best suggestion yet.

I was under the impression bases would be underground. One can't server hop into underground bases, you can only hop from the inside out, but then you risk being buried alive.

I would love being able to break into other peoples bases. Perhaps make it impossible to log in and out at a base. Except for in a designated area.

  3. Glitches, bugs, server restarts etc, all these factors I can deal with. I consider them part of the dangerous enviornment.

The mod becomes boring fast due to tents and hackers. Both kill the worth of finding loot and your achievements. The first because you'll always have a high end gear stash to fall back on, do you guys feel as terrified of losing gear after your setup? The latter because all your skillfull playing, your hard earned gear you acquired after a daring raid on NWAF, your days spent being alive mean nothing if a hacker nukes a server.

I consider this mod a success, though. Can't wait to play the standalone where these problems are ironed out.

  4. Googled and I couldn't find anything. I've seen a few people in-game and in-videos do some kind of side step over barbwire if it's low enough. I can't seem to do it.

Is it just strafing sideways slowly? Any help appreciated.

Sometimes it's worth stating the obvious, but do you mean 'vaulting'? Press 'V'.

  5. Ages ago, in my personal Era of Noobishness I shot a guy at a Balotta hanger. I think he was either AFK or rummaging in his backpack, because I got the jump in him pretty good, he only got one shot off, which broke my leg, but I digress.

I had a Makarov, standard pack and some shotgun shells. He had:

    • Coyote pack
    • NVG
    • Rangefinder
    • GPS
    • Map
    • Compass
    • Toolbox
    • M9SD
    • MP5
    • M107 in his pack
    • All medical supplies
    • Cooked meat

Let's just say I was one happy (and quickly paranoid) camper. I ran the Hell out of there and never looked back. Was able to survive for 20 days until one day I logged in and died because of a new patch. At that point I was actually glad to start over. Having all that gear can make the game boring.

  6. High - End Gear + Soldier Clothing + Satchel Charges ... Not able to fly a Chopper lol

"Found it in a tent/Looted it from a hacker/Got Thunderdomed right before the video startet and QQ'ed thank god im not a hacker" - Explanation Soon...

What about the Battleye Kick then?! ... "I got kicked because BE updated fails from server" ... Could be ...

Kinda talking to myself or OP in the Future .. im confused ... some post a meme to make me laugh ... thanks

High-end gear + helicopter skills don't go hand in hand. Especially since helicopters have been only re-introduced last patch.

I advise everyone to play the Arma2 ingame helicopter tutorial or create their own training mission in the editor (pretty cool and fun to do by itself).
