Spent a little over an hour finding an alice backpack, matches, hunting knife, handgun (m911),a rifle can't remember what type, bandages, morphine x 4, blood bags x 2 and binocs. Was leaving the Cherno grocery store and then BAM I was taken out by someone with an automatic rifle. so bud GG to you, hope you enjoy the loot!

Did the OP think to check they had battle-eye installed and updated? this is the most common cause of server disconnects due to timeouts that I'm aware of.

Ok so now its saying that it can't find any player profiles basicly, try running the non-beta Operation Arrowhead, and then try the beta version, see if that creates the profile for you. Sorry for the late reply was in game DayZ, /sadface just lost my 4day old character to a bugged zombie horde :( Edit: I also found this post for someone who has had the same problem, it seems you need to be very careful when you do the shortcut, see here http://forums.bistud...fault-Batch-CMD Edit 2: Another helpfull installation website (with loads of info on problems and how to fix them - http://kodabar.blogs...rma-2-free.html - just do a search for the word profile, you'll find your error there. @ KuriDoog - Have you run both Arma II and Operation Arrowhead (not the beta ones) at least once each via the .exe in the respective folders? this usually creates the profile data (i've just tested it now)

You may need to copy over your your Arma 2 addons folder, over into the Operation Aarowhead folder, be careful to not replace any files that already exist when prompted, just skip those ones, use this as an example C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2\AddOns (copy contents) C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\AddOns (paste into here, if addons doesn't exist, just make it) Then goto the Operation Arrowhead site (http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php) and download the beta, install the beta just to make sure your all up to date. If that fails, try running the game manualy (I.E not via steam) like this Running Manually: 1. Goto "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\ 2. Click on the arma2oa.exe and select 'send to - desktop (shortcut)' 3. Goto desktop and right click on the shortcut, and select properties, where it has 'Target' change it to read the below: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -nosplash -skipIntro -mod=@DayZ Most of the errors are caused by people trying to run the normal arma2oa.exe instead of the beta one, it is different. I had the exact same error as your having, in the same order, i'm confident the above will resolve your issues for you :D so dont fret your not the only one getting those spastic messages.

You need to run Arma 2 on its own, just to the main menu, then exit. Then run Arma 2 Operation Aarowhead, just to the main menu then exit. Then try again with SixLauncher and see if that fixes your bad serial at setup. The error is caused by the serial not being loaded into the system registry, this is loaded when you first start Arma 2 and then Operation Aarowhead individually, launching directly into Operation Aarowhead right after you've installed it doesn't set up the keys.

Well sir I will LOL @ you because Orcon hosted servers do not count towards my internet usage, and for those of us not in the U.S that is a big deal. I'm glad you play on Veteran, because with an attitude like that your probably an elitist jerk who enjoys trolling the other 70% of the playerbase on Regular servers, and I don't enjoy mingling with people like that.

So today I recommended DayZ to a good friend of mine, and their response was rather awkward. Basicly they turned around and said what a joke this game was and how it shouldn't even be released in an Alpha state & that it must be unplayable and buggy as hell, and that the only good thing about it is the concept. So yeah,shot me down on that I think , my opinion is that the game is great and is very playable (hell I even enjoy it more than D3) Edit: And if anyone can help with my signature to show the image i'd appreciate it!

With an admin like that I'd just name the server so we can all avoid it, who wants to play on a server where the admins are jerks.

I never used to have problems with not aggroing zombies pre-patch, it seems now though that some zombies can detect you over 100meters away purely on sight, and even while you are prone!

Whats wrong with the Orcon servers? Apart from the odd hacker in NZ3 screaming 'praise allah' I haven't had any probllems.

I was prone just outside of cherno, crawling away as I had a broken leg. I looked to the northwest and could see a factory-hangar just near where the medical tents are, this factory / hangar had zombies walking around it, well over 100meters away. I keep crawling and then BAM a zombie starts sprinting so I stop and watch as he comes towards me, gnashing teeth and screaming bloody murder. I cannot factor enviromental figures into this as if that was truly the case, every single zombe that i'd just snuck past in the same conditions would have aggro'd as well.

Ive had this happen to me on saturday nzt he did the same thing on the orcon servers, the whole praise allah thing and all! what a dick he's still getting away with it

I watched all of Syndicates videos so have a pretty fair idea of how DayZ works (or used to in our case since we no longer spawn with food/weapons/drink). I seem to really struggle getting near any loot, due to zombie spawns. I'm very careful not to sprint, usually always crouched and moving slowly from place to place. Don't know if its just bad luck but zombies seem to just spawn across the corners from me and they instantly see me, even if I don't move. Other than that if a zombie see's me its GG, I know i'm dead with no weapon. Other than be more stealthy, and literaly crawl everywhere, does anyone have any tips I could apply? Edit: Even fully crawling they seem to see me through walls, is this a known issue?

I don't have problems with zombies anymore, I've found out they are actually quite stupid. Its more player based now, lots of stalkers out there. As for patch it's the latest one, I know this because our servers don't allow you using older versions of DayZ

One thing thats quite annoying (and I know its just how the game is) is the amount of geared players that just farm new commers in the main cities, I know if you want to avoid it don't goto the main cities blah blah. But honestly you dont have much choice because by the time you farm gear in the smaller areas, some dick jumps on with his hacking tools and kills everyone on the server. Actually TBH I can't believe how often I see snipers in this game, its like they are super easy to get or somthing

So I have noticed that when you take up a melee weapon like crowbar / hatchet the zombies are buggy as hell, you can stand there and swing and swing and swing and just not kill it. Yet other times you can swing a couple times and kill it. I can't find any posts on this though. Anyone else getting this?

I find that putting a little more than an arms length of distance between you and your target is the sweet spot for hatchets, and can often one hit kill zombies. Hatchet = Win for the game, then its on to find food / drinks

To OP - I hope the mods see this and ban your serial, you are exactly what is wrong with this game, don't go thinking that because you 'ghosted' that your any better than the people out there doing the teleport/priest hacks, because your just as pathetic as they are.

Started a new game in Kemp (small area to the southwest most part of the map), found a hatchet, food and drink, bandages and was pretty proud of myself until a stupid zombie broke my leg. So crawled through the next 2 cities to get to Cherno, using the forest for cover the whole time. Just got in Cherno and was going 'around' a hill to stay out of sniper vision, then fuck me days, a sniper shot me. What a wasted of 2 1/2 hours.
