I had an issue like this and it was related to HDR. Try setting it either lower or higher and restart the game.

Solution: Don't fucking click the suicide button. How hard can this be? This button is being exploited though (which part of this mod isn't?). The only purpose for this button is to choose your spawn location (exploit), commit suicide when you really need/want to and to troll people with bad motor skill (you).

You get this with low fps. Try lowering some of the settings in advanced video options (namely antialiasing, terrain detail, disable vsync and post processing) Look up a guide to tweak these settings to improve performance. You may also want to set mouse smoothing to zero since it's shit.

Are all of it's download mirrors constantly overburdened? I can download the torrent for the latest version of dayz in 30 seconds but six launcher won't detect my version (after a minute of "verifying") and just insists that I should update. So I let this thing update my uptodate version of dayz to my already installed uptodate version. This shouldn't be a problem, but six launcher insists that I download at an astonishing rate of a whopping 6 kb/s (this will take more than a fucking hour every time). So it's "verifying" for nothing and then continues to install the latest version even though it's already installed at a dial-up modem rate. And before you say "why use six launcher then"?: I can't not use it. When I try to join a game through the normal ingame server browser I get a "Failing to connect" error on 90% of the servers. Six launcher bypasses this for some reason.

From my experience it seems they go for the spot where the shot was fired. They normally start sprinting and when they reach the spot they start walking. If they don't see/hear you from there they'll eventually walk back to where they were initially.

Are you just server hopping in the supermarket or something? Loot won't spawn close to you. There would only be loot if someone else spawned it for you.

You will never get the option to remove wire from afar. You have to sneak-crouch into the barbed wire and have the center of your screen (where the crosshair should be) aimed exactly at any of the stakes. I have removed close to a hundred coils and haven't had a problem with a single one of them.

Just logged on, all zombies in town were static models. No animations, blasted one with a 74 and the one 10 meters to the left just stood there. Ran around town for a bit, no change. This was in elektro.

Click on options in the bottom left hand corner of your six launcher window.

So you are normally joining games through six launcher? Are "force beta" and "update beta" enabled in the options? Make sure the fields with "path" in front of them are empty. Also add -world=empty to additional startup parameters. (This probably won't fix the problem but the game will load faster, for your convenience) edit: are you running the game through steam?

Open the game like you normally would and tell us what it says in the upper right hand corner of the main menu screen. It should say something like: expansion beta dayz

Do you get an error when trying to join?

This is true. If you place something in your backpack without enough room it should create a lootpile near you with the items that are dropped. This might be a bit glitchy though (pile being created on the other side of a wall/inside a slope?) To the original poster: I've never had this happen to me, luckily. I have, however, encountered plenty of other situations where you can/will lose gear. These are mostly fixed with some inventory mumbojumbo though.
