my character has randomly been reset, id post this as a bug but i see alot of youtubers mentioning player resets. so how does this work, my char has only existed for afew days irl and not even survived a full day ingame yet?

regardless of video or written out, Day Z like minecraft offers a reasonably unique per player, so i love reading and watching anything. I 2 got owned on my first life.

i had to purchase the game twice on steam with 2 different accounts in order to trafic items like that.

first gun was a G17 or Glock 17 i found in a little wodden tower in the middle of no where, i then proceded to using a lee enfield. a shotgun and a ak using all there ammo and dropping them, after about 3 days gameplay i found my first lot of ammo for the Glock 17, broke a bone found out the Glock wasnt anywhere near as powerful as any of my primary weapons and was killed.

So i have afew guesses about how tents and dropped items work and id like people to confirm or correct for me please tents can have items story -they will survive server resets every 12hours -they are on 1 server so choose home server -they can be looted/used by anyone. items dropped, like a gun i drop next to my tent because tent is full. -wont survive the server reset every 12hours -on 1 server -have a despawn time? these are my guesses at how both work, can people please correct me and explain how they work. i want to be able to drop items around my tent and come back for them, if i cant do that i guess ill need more then 1 tent.

Reference to Diablo III community lolz! i hope we arnt that bad. I noticed after 1.7.2 that half the freaking servers dont update anyway? is this the 'rabit community' refusing to update or is half the community clueless?

the yogscast just broadcasted gameplay of dayz to over a million people and your complaining, thats like saying "omfg why does that guy get a free cheeseburger" when he did a commercial for Mc Donalds.

i considered using my six launcher but it only launches 1 version of arma for some reason. this is probably the most effective way tho

i recently came across a tent, which you can store gear in to that specific server iv been told. so im wondering how people decide and keep track of there 'home' server so a player can always find there tent again?

Im alittle confused about how to sign up to play day z? i saw a sign up where u send something to the admins and they respond, its processed through a purchase style window. is this required to play?
