    Weapon Customization

The game is currently designed to have new players come on and figure out everything on thier own. And with it just being the added customizations, the new players can still pickup a normal weapon and kill with it. While the veterans can get the additions to make the game more interesting for themselves and make more interesting firefights

    Weapon Customization

The two problems I see with this is: 1- There will be impatiant people that see it and just pass it by waiting for a proper gun, one that they dont need to spend another 2 hours to get it working. It would be nice for high level weapons where it is a prize to locate all the parts to make it a perfect gun 2- It jumps a little too far from the game, my idea does jump but not to such extent. With needing to fix every weapon you find it takes out the whole part of finding a weapon that can do some good damage and feeling great about yourself and makes you feel somewhat secure. Also when you work your way to lets say stary, you have already put yourself into a high traffic area where you can easily be killed by camping snipers, so you should be able to recieve a fair prize for succeeding. Not just walk in, find an AKM, be excited, then find out you cant use it until you go to another high traffic area to POSSIBLY get the item you need to get it working.

    Weapon Customization

This is my idea, for the stand-alone game of course due to the fact it wont work for the Arma II set-up. Basic tl;dr: This is an idea to have multiple different customizations to allow more variability in weapons and to also create more player assistance to eachother. Picture you having a DMR and a silancer for an AK. what do you do? you find someone with an AK and they have a silancer for a DMR. why not a trade? Customizable Items -Silancer -Scope/sight -Others due to weapon type All items should of course be more rare then the weapons. Silancers Of course all silancers are not the same. So it would be a great thing to have different silancers due to the muzzle size and abilities. It would be interesting to have this as an option other then finding the little amount of weapons that have the silancer, and also you can use the same ammo that is used for the normal weapon like a realistic weapon. The silancer obviously works the same as the ones in the game, but based on the item attached to it. Like reducing the sound of an AK by 70% so it can still be heard, but much less. And with a sniper, we do not have any silanced snipers in the game right now, so it would be a nice addition. Scope/Sight There should be a good amount of different sight options. And it would make sence to have many different sights for an AK, have the Kobra based reflex sight, and you can use that for the 74, the 74u and others, then even have an ACOG for the AK's aswell. Same with the M4/M16 weapons. With the snipers you can add different zoom scopes, All have a basic lets say 1x/4x scope, and you can get a 1x/4x/8x/12x scopes. And with the LMG's there can also be such sight ideas. Others For a shotgun you can have stocks to reduce recoil, and maybe muzzles to alter spread (there should be shotgun spread). I know this may sound like a COD kiddie type post, but I honestly say it would be a good addition and it would cause a nice variety of gameplay and weapon variability. If anyone has more to add to this suggestion please do.
  4. Not likely. The character is saved to your CD-Key, so as long as you continue to use the same Key, you should be under no difficulties. If anything is lost then you can blame a bug/glitch

You where kicked from the game

You might have really bad PING with all of them, they all have a max PING limit, and if yours is too much the you wont be able to join

A small improvement that would bring big changes

I bet server hoppers and ghoasters LOVE this suggestion.

    Few Weeks In: Observations

Let me try and answer from the knowledge I have Bandit Skins: I believe one factor is that people who are not trying to be bandits get this skin because of self defense, and after that people just assume you will kill them. (I dont know too much about such skin) Helis: I am under the assumption you dont know much about programming. One little change could make many things screw up, that is why each patch has many bug fixes because you cant fix them all in order and have perfection. And the lag it creates when it desyncs with ther servers cause the players to crash and die. And dying in this game sucks when you are geared up. Side Servers: I believe the reason for removing it is to create more realism. Do you think everyone in a zombie apocalypse is going to have a radio that will reach 225km all synced to the proper channel. NO. So this creates more realism into the game. Death Messages: I understand the hacker aspect of the argument. I have been killed by such a thing before. But the reason it is not there (Like previous argument) it creates more realism. You shouldnt know who killed someone unless you see. Crash sites: I am not sure if the spawn rate has changed, but I see many people say they can not find one for their lives, then I see some people say they found 5 in the span of 30 minutes. So I think it is just one of those things to get lucky at. That is my 2 cents. Comment if you please (And dont quote me if I am completely wrong)

    I don't understand the bags

When you are not looking in any loot the open bag just gives you the option to put items in and take items out of the bag, when you are looking at loot you will see the space itself and put items straight into it. With some experience you will get used to the way it works

Steam vs retail...if it's even retail

Everything will be done right through SixLauncher, Once you install it, everytime you wish to play DayZ you just have to open Six, and click on the server you wish to join. from there is simple buisness

    DayZ's Community Now!!?!?

I myself am feeling that change. Though it has not hit me yet. The last 7 times I have played 6 of them were short lived by a random sniper, or someone I run into, say friendly, then walk away and get cap in my ass..But I am not a Bandit...yet...

Steam vs retail...if it's even retail

As long as you have a proper CD-Key for the game you should be fine. Just download the game + SixLauncher, follow instructions and you should join us all in the looting and surviving soon :)
