Still, the game is pretty new even for experienced DayZMod-players. I also have completely no problems to survive in the Mod, but here I have. I need to get used to the new systems, that's all. Furthermore, people like to visit some of the new places on coast before going north. The most new 'stuff' is at the coast. Just wait til people got used to the game and it will change ;)

Let's be the first to open fire." (or these guys that are surprisingly standing in front of you while aiming at your head and after being shot they whine: "Why did you kill me, triggerhappy kiddie? Learn playing, bambie... blabla") 3: "Die ya pesky Bandit!"

DayZ is a die-hard surviving game, not a frickin mmorpg. Some visual things are better though, like the "self-made" vehicles. A little bit overdone though. Moreover, I prefer Chernarus or Namalsk over Taviana.

Headshot only is kinda extreme. A hit from a heavy cal in the torso is pretty much the end, also for a zombie. But I surely agree they should be far more resistable for body-shots.' EDIT: Obviuosly agreeing to Terminal Boy and dulix11 -

More dense forests and their impact on gameplay

This is a thing i really hoped and still hope for... yes! And maybe even more taller grass in some areas. That would look more natural and, like you said, have nice impact on the g,ame. I am also looking forward to see forests with different densities, like Demon Groover already said: Maybe a "black forest" or "ghost forest" where you don't even see some metres far. Damn, that would be creepy. -

This is too much MMORPG. A class system doesn't really fit in the game, you can evolve your "profession" when just playing it and deciding what to take and what not to take and settling down wherever you want. It is the spirit of the game to start with (barely) nothing and loot your way up. Why limit it giving players the ability to start with a working car or something? The whole idea is to fix one and get your own stuff done by surviving. You can be all of these "persons" you listed, but it is a part of the game to walk that path *deepness over 9000* Greets -
I don't have the .50 very often, but I don't have a problem with them. When they are super rare and have great disadvantages it's okay. Anyway, because this is not the discussion point, I think the Lapua is a good choice, since It is kind of a good sniper rifle with also disadvantages. Good balancing attempts indeed.

Ever thought of the sense of spawning in the South? People living i the big cities (or stranded ones) start to pull around over the landscapes to survive after the apocalipse broke out. The survivor density clearly is the highest in the cities, and that's how it should be, regarding common sense. The area with the two biggest cities is the South. Sorry man...

Isn't nobody Totally my opinion. It would be too damn boring if most people would live the big city life and loot metropoles fo hours. The City/Farm/Forest dispensation in a game is the best i've seen.

It is a very good Idea, really, but in a 3D game it would look visually awful, I think. If you manage it to look aesthetically well, it would be golden. A foggy-like thing sounds good, but it would look totally unrealistic. Suggestions? EDIT: Good tags :D -

Mate, I didn't even refer to your post... chill out. I wasn't even quoting you. ;) I answered FlashHawk4, who was clearly refering to me as a "DayZ dabbler". And sorry I meant HMGs. I mainly like the Idea of having mounted LMGs. Maybe, like you said you could just put them on a found mount or craft some out of scrap metal. That would be epic! The only worries I have is the minigun or DShKMs. Oh boy, I think that would be just too much. You could build a base around them and be nearly invincible. The "mount only" variant without grip are a good idea for heavy weapons. Why not an universal tripod (I dont know if that's possible in rl), so you can even mount an AKM or any other gun if you don't have the right ewuipment? The possibilities are endless. The main idea is a nice basis to work with I think. -
Your mentioned emothions are good in deaths as bleeding out or being hit by a low caliber. At higher firepower we need just some good ragdoll animations, because explosions or 50 cals don't allow these emotions I think. Still, good idea.

I have seen many of similar ideas, but this is a completele different sight on stuff... So there have been threads about unreliable weapons and jamming after using them for a long time (+repair). My piont is a bit different. It would be konda practical and not very complicated if there were different versions of one weapon model. - Just imagine finding a rusted hunting rifle in an old barn, but a new, clean one in a weapons store. - Morover, the guns could have a great range of colour and detail differences to help distinguishing your friends and strangers. - Just imagine an AK with a crushed stock that gives you worse aiming. - Finding a gun with a smashed iron sight? Bad luck for you with aiming. - Or maybe a shiny new reliable m4a1 from a military outpost, besting a rusty AKM that should be more powerful? - And I need your help to find more good examples. These ideas are very narrow; the point is to inspire the community and develpoers to work roughly in that direction, if they like it. They could widen this idea to perfectly fit in the crafting system. Of course it would be difficult to distinguish same weapons with different statistics, so i suggest tooltips that explain the stste of the weapin in the inventory. I don't talk about repairing and gun wear, but of just different 'types' of weapons. Of course repairing could be added, but it's not the point of the suggestion. Golden or total crap? DayZ Standalone, Freelook, Third Person

First person has a more intense atmosphere and freelook is okay ther. I still play 3rd person because it's OP, more mainly because of freelook. I really support your idea to remove the freelook. -
