I would like only one. uniform gamemode, but I like the hardcore thing. Maybe they change the normal Gamemode into this direction.

I hope "Yes" means that it should be removed, because of the "side chat?" title it's a little confusing ;) I'm against the side chat, because it destroys the DayZ atmosphere in a way. -

This is exactly my point! The same thing goes with PvP/friendly stuff and clan structures. It all belongs to the players. This makes the game so beautiful. Thank you. :)

I think this game has a too little timespan to make realistic learning effects (day zero). And I'm heavily against that (you didn't mention it either) the stats should be not erased by death. I don't think it's so game changing, but I would accept very slight, non-trackable and levelless skill progresses. It's a very risky point here, because some changes could really be a game-changer, what (in my opinion) would be fatal. You can go test it but I hope people will be very careful with it. Edit: I personally think we have player progression right now. When you play the game continuesly, you can play it better. This is some bad-ass player progression line :) ...and I think it's enough.

Body Armor, Vehicle Armor, base building and camo scent?

Body armor MUST have big disadvantages. These things shouldn't fit everyone's playstyle with only protecting him and don't decreasing anything, like speed. And remember: One hit in a kevlar can also make you bleed out and brake your bones in reallife. These things can really save your life, but don't protect you from heavy injuries or even dead. Against handguns they're still ok, but when an assault rilfle bullet hits most vests, the danger of dying is still quite high. -
I don't always like specializations. But when I do, it should be like that. ;) Nice idea, you can choose many tools to do your work, but not all. This makes teamwork and strategy much more important. That would me nice, I would also like when you can mix the abilities how you want. For example a transfusion medic which can also establish bases in a way, so you can mix all tools up how you want. You still have many slots, so you can choose more than a few tools, but not eveything.

I think It's kinda interesting when there is the one special place with special danger. That makes high-end loot even more difficult to obtain and you have a great chance to meet players, even when the map is huge.

I would play public first to get an image of the game and have a saved character on public servers (nobody remembers his first server he was on) so he can continue joining another private server. After some time i would change to private :) Then you can focus on one server. And remember: All private Hives have different saved characters!

I love that cou can only guess how much blood you have, because you don't have a number anymore, but a color. This is way more realistic. But honestly, you're right. I agree with you, you should be able to change the GUI colours. I hope that they won't change it to a bar or a number, this would be ugly, but help is needed for you. When other colours help you, I think this would be a great idea to make a colourblind-friendly option with simply other colours. Maybe blue and something else? Or black and white? Greets! -

There are servers with privat server settings (global chat, vehicle spawns, weapons, ...), right? And you can't transfer your saved character from one side to another, I think. My question is: How can you be 100% sure if the server has the official rules or is a modified one? (I would like to play on original servers only) In my opinion the system is a bit messed up atm, I would like to see some more clarity if a server is official and requires skill or one with 5 times more vehicle spawns. Could you help me guys?

Thanks! I didn't see that, I use the DayZ commander since yesterday, I used Six Launcher before. Finally I understand the saving mechanics completely. Many thanks to you, I play DayZ for 4 months, but private servers are a new experience for me. I will test some, but, as you say, the even playing ground is an advantage I really like. It's still good that you can choose if you can play modified or official. The server descriptions are informative, but I don't like that you can't see what really is changed in this server. Maybe you can see it later or in the standalone. This would be nice. I'm glad that DayZ has such helping community. :thumbsup: -

Nice point. Moreover, I think it's a nice counter against ghillie people sitting in the bush. It gives the game a special thrill.

Hm... yeah... but everybody will die sooner or later and the weapon can get lost. The weapon will almost "die out" in less than a month. I think this argument is invalid. I only read the first page, sorry bro. The thing is, it's away from the game. It's there, but a not-bandit can't obtain it... So I go back to my question: Why, just why? Couldn't you simply make it super super rare? And: Moreover, it fits in the apocalypse, don't you think? I respect all opinions; what does the community say obout that?

Why, just why? Couldn't you simply make it super super rare? I think this gun fits more i the apocalypse than the as50. It is ok though. In some weeks everyone will think I've got a hacked weapon. And, for more, it was a good ghillie-sniper counter. Moreover, it fit in the apocalypse, don't you think? EDIT: I love the inobtrusive G17-icon though.

The nice thing in DayZ is that you can decide for yourself what to do. When somebody likes to hamster, let them do it. When somebdy wants to kill with a hatchet and a coyote patrol pack: no problem. Play the style you want. Every playstyle is acceptable in this game, because it's sandbox (of course no alt + f4 and so on). Do what you prefer and this is the best.

I hope they WON'T change it. DayZ should be DayZ. And DayZ IS open sandbox. Something else, even a little bit, would ruin the game for me. The players make the stories, not the devs. -

I play DayZ since July and I only had a problem with a hacker once. I don't usually go on empty servers, but I prefer to avoid servers with a lot of people. That lowers the risk of being killed by a hacker significantly. I like official servers without any gimmicks. Oldschool DayZ ftw! But that's not the point. Does somebody have an answer?
