Grow up, play the game as it was intended and learn to run, dodge and use cover to avoid enemy fire. Don't shoot people in debug plains, it's not cool to get killed while you're playing because someone else gets spawned in debug plains and kills your copy character. You'd hate it if you just dropped dead with no reason so please don't do it to others.

You don't have to rejoin the server as such, just abort and disconnect until you get to that server's lobby screen then reenter.

I have a router that sucks balls and occasionally drops all network connections. A timer on internet drop may result in my death but I'm all for a timer, a long one. Like a minute or something. I'm be happy to take the occasional death due to sucking hardware if it meant that when I shoot someone, they actually die instead of being able to Alt-F4 and scamper off to another server, or worse, scamper off to another server, reposition and then hop back to your server and nail you in the ass. These noobs need to learn how to take it like a man, bring on the timer!!!

You mean 1.7.6 or above right? We're past 1.7.2 (yay :D). We're at 1.7.1.5. Patch 1.7.2. will be the next major patch baring any hotfixes that may or may not happen in the mean time.

Find a toolbox, it'll go into your toolbelt. When confronted by barbed wire simply look at one of the upright posts and use your scroll wheel to dismantle it. Haven't tried this with the tank traps but it's probably much the same thing.

OK so just for argument's sake, we have our new mod that's pretty much the same as the old mod. All the zombies have been swapped for murderous aliens instead. What's to stop the Death Match players dropping in and doing exactly what they are doing now? It'll be exactly the same as it already is. You'll still have KOS'ers, you'll still have players that go solo and get owned in high traffic areas and you'll have achieved absolutely nothing except swapping zombie skins for alien ones. The simpler solution to getting repeatedly owned is to group up, strength in numbers and all that. Try it out, you'll probably live longer.

True about tasers being a close range thing but then again what about those taser shotgun rounds? Those things have a reasonable range.

But it's not really that difficult if you do a tiny bit of research here on these forums or watch a few youtube videos of the numerous let's plays there then you'll be more than prepared for this game. I watched a load of videos from some guy called DevilDogGamer and another one called SideStrafe and they really did help. If more new players did the same, or at least read a bit on the boards first before whining then there would be a lot less threads for jerks like Janeral to not bother reading while posting tl;dr in.

Is it possibly for you to check out my character ID, thanks in advance. Edit:Fixed Turns out it was a server issue, one of those minor set up "teething" issues that the server owner sorted out.

Can't play on this server. I get to the lobby ok, but it gets stuck on loading or stuck on character creation every time. Can connect to any other server with no problems, but just not this one. Can you give your server a kick or something as I just set up a tent there this morning and have a pack full of stuff I want to drop off. Cheers
