    Private servers no allowed?

No, but in my world I can go down to the local car dealership, purchase a car, drive it home and perform any adjustments, maintenance and/or modifications to it whether it voids the warranty or not. Unless DayZ or Arma 2 was leased to all of us rather than sold, I believe any one whom has purchased the game should be allowed to do with it and make adjustments and additional modifications of their own. After all, DayZ it's self is a mod, would it not be hypocritical to deny continued modifications and private servers? On a more transparent level: Many private servers require BattlEye authentication; which means users require a legit copy of Arma II or OA(Otherwise, servers are flooded with constant hacks and who wants to play with that any ways). Among those which do not require BattlEye authentication a majority of them are still ran and played on by users whom have purchased Arma II. I'm sure there are private servers which disable BattlEye and allow hackers + illegal copies; but that is definitely the minority and you should not discourage or forget about all the hard work put into private servers and additional modifications to increase the user experience, server stability and administrative assistance options.
