You're right it was a bad metaphor. Its like complaining to your peers who are sitting with you in the back of the cop car...But apparently I was wrong.....all the bitching got the attention of someone from BI......so It wasn't useless after all :)

Here is the two posts from page six or something So Rocket apparantley did say it (if Buffjesus is correct) And then said something else.
-
True....I'm just saying it was said at one point then recanted. When I made the post I didn't know the statement had been withdrawn. I'm just saying I wasn't makin shit up. I'm just sayin' I'm just sayin'
-

I'm sure you list 100 things that wouldn't work. I'm not interested. I'm interested in things that will work. Well but someone needs to point out to me when something won't work so i can rethink the idea that's true....But I never suggested flashing light and sirens did I? That sounds like a stupid idea. You should be ashamed of yourself for thinking of it ;) -
I know ;) that was my point. The example of EA is not proof that law>contract. It's proof that in Germany German law trumps laws of foreign countries. But when an issue of contractual law comes up that is contained withing a single jurisdiction. It's up to the court to decide which takes precedent (at least i think in Europe and USA) It's not just as simple as saying law trumps contract. Sometimes maybe it is...but not always. And being that BE is in Germany...I'll assume their EULA is drawn under German law by people who are very familiar with such. And I'd be surprised if it was actually illegal. I could be wrong.
-
But was that because German Law takes precedent over US law? If a contract is drawn and agreed to under German laws. Would it not still be up to a court to decide on a case by case basis?Edit: And anyway BE being a German company I'm sure drew their terms and condtitions under German law. I'd be surprised if you could force them to give them all that info.
-
Law...in US and Europe works on a system of precedent. Meaning Laws are not set in stone. You statement "law is greater then contract" Is not a true statement because it is for a court to decide on a case by case basis. I would imagine conflicts could occur when a company is based in one country and providing a service to someone in another country. Which countries laws take precedent? I imagine in such cases it goes to an international court to decide. All I did was ask if the German law would stand even if a waiver had been signed. Your statement (law>contract) is not always true. Even if you can cite cases where it was. I can also cite cases where it wasn't. Lets stick to truths and not draw false conclusions.

On the contrary...human progress happens in response to adversity....we don't build security systems because things are safe. But regardless..... Just because there's been a zombie apocalypse doesn't mean human kinds knowledge of science and engineering vanishes. surely in the abandoned office, government and hospital buildings have the remenants of once functional security systems that can be scavenged and brought back online. -
Not really. Like in America we have a law protecting us from "unlawful search and seizure". But if you consent to the search...you can't later say you were illegally searched. When you installed BE....you agreed to their terms and conditions. End of story.. It sucks yes.....but end of story

Even when you sign a contract waving that right?

OMG....fade away please

Obviously by submitting the request you are saying their system screwed up right? So why do you need to say it twice. They just don't want to hear your details and specifics. Because 98% of people are going to lie and bullshit them claim this or that and it's very resource intensive.Im not talking about you of course, you're obviously part of the 2% that tell the truth and are unjustly banned. No you dont get to plead your case to them true....but to say they don't review claims of false bans is just a lie.....or a severe misunderstanding on your end.
-
The submission IS asking to be unbanned....it says they dont want to hear your story...and they dont want to beg. All they want is the banID. Then (I assume they check the log and see if it was a mistake on their part). The rules don't say...Go away were not interested. Why the fuck would they let you submit anything at all then...??? Sometimes peoples logic is so retarded and lost its amazing. Its the reason I keep coming back. It's like watching monkees in the zoo.
-
You use BE's rules for submitting a ban review request as proof they never review bans. What's wrong with that picture??
-
It's true no one gets banned for NO reason...but the reason could theoretically be illegitimate.
-
It's true they say they won't tell you why...it's so hackers can't easily develop work arounds. Everything else in your post is made up shite.
-
Has anyone tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling?
-
Beans for Grim Fandango :)
-
SHould you be posting BanID# on an open forum?? :\
-
Answer unknown....did you're ban look like the one in the video?
-
Are you sure your being "global" banned not just "banned"?
-
True true...When your global banned by battle eye it identifies itself as battle eye and says "global ban"at least when I play that's the message I see about other players.... something like: BattleEye: so and so ........global ban. So maybe that's the issue here.....all these people have not been global banned and not by battle eye...lol I wouldn't be surprised if this were the case EDIT: my mistake..it did ID as BAttle Eye and say global ban.
