I'm sure he's not disbelieving the folks who are still getting glitches. And I'm sure hes working on it. But jesus man the guy is under alot of pressure at the moment and hes doin his best. Why do people rag on Rocket....you don't have enough humility to entertain the possibility the problem is on your end? Or just accept it for what it is, even if that is imperfect. Don't ask me!! But ragging on ZRocket??? Really?? The guys probably on the verge of nervous breakdown by now. Give him a break.

6 updater is interfering. You need to uninstall it completely (make sure to go in and get any files the uninstall missed). Then re-install the update manually. Don't reinstall 6 updater. just get rid of it. At least for now. Also try getting the update from a single file source as sometimes with torrents bits get corrupted. This worked for me....but I go through steam as well

Was on the coast headed towards Berizono about 15 minutes ago. When I hear a helicopter. I took shelter and it passed so I continued. Suddenly it was back....I dropped a crawled under a truck. In third person i could see them hovering above. They stayed for a long time and seemed to be looking for me. Maybe because they could see zombies aggro. Anyway at one point they came really low right next to the truck like they were gonna land, but they hovered there for a sec and left. 10 second later I hear a huge explosion. I come out and could see the smoke and fire from where they crashed and I saw two names register as killed ...Spawner was one and another I missed. I made my way over to the crash site and looted their corpses...NVG's, Rangefinder, GPS, AS50 with tons of Mags, meat, I took what i need and headed out. I was a good 300 meters out in the woods when I hear shots from a distance. I run for a long time and then take cover between some rocks. It's night time. Suddenly boom Im shot up into the air....ringing in my headphones. blood to like -14,000 or something. Fuckers! I was going to disconnect after i had cleared the crash site and was safe in the woods. I should have. I wish there was something i could do to punish them. I don't care about the gear....theyre just such pussies!!! Next I will DC....not in a firefight. But after I loot some player whos decked out and I know will be coming back to loot his own body. AND HOW ABOUT THAT?????? When is something going to be done about being able to loot your own dead body. It kind of makes perma-death a joke. I'd stomp their teeth out on a filthy curb if I could. (probly not :)) We were the only three players on the server :).....so they're bundles of sticks.

The only reason I posted that is because people come on here and make posts like....."glitches not fixed!!!"....without giving any details.I know 100% some who thought they had updated to 1.7.2.5 indeed had not!! So it's important to give details so Rocket can isolate the problem. Just saying "Artifacts still there" is pretty much useless. IMO :)

Did you look in program files to make sure there's no leftover six files or folders?

I don't really care. I was telling a story about what happened...And putting the one name i caught out into the digiverse. The saying is...."opinions are like assholes, everyone's got one". And it really applies better to you're post than mine :) Thanks :) Even If I had proof BattleEye wouldn't do anything. That's not how BattleEye works. I'd have to give the proof to the server admins...but as someone stated earlier it was probably them....And as I stated earlier I don't care that much....It was just sort of an amusing storie i thought.

I know how to manually install. And I did it correctly. But the game wasn't recognizing the update. Someone told me that SU might be interfering just by being on harDrive. It seemed like a longshot but I uninstalled SU and everything was fine after that. I'm not sure which posts you have been reading but thanks for telling me I'm doing it wrong and not offer any help. Well done. :)

So how should I have done it???

I did a manual install and launched through steam, but for some reason SU was still interfering. I had to completely uninstall it and then it worked. It sucks because I really liked Six Launcher. It was easier to look at.

Yes...for some reason when I followed those instructions it worked. I had done everyhting else before except uninstall SU.EVen though I did everything correct before The ARMA2 menu page was still showing 1.7.2.4 and I couldn't join any 1.7.2.5 servers. Once I deleted SU completely meaning even after uninstall I had to go into program files and manually delete a couple of left over files. Then it worked

For people who purchased through Steam and have been using six updater (LIKE ME :)) and are having issues.. 1. Unistall six Updater COMPLETELY!! 2. Install latest beta patch if it's not already. 3. In steamAps\common\ARMA2oa folder...copy the ARMA2oa.exe file and put it in a new folder called "back up" 4. In the steam\steamApps\common\ARMAIIOA\expansion\beta copy the ARMA2oa.exe and paste into main game folder..overwiting original you just backed up 5. In steam library right click ARMAIIOA and select properties then click Set LAunch Options type--"-mod=@dayz" no quotations 6. launch from steam

I had this issue earlier today. Are you sure you successfully installed update??? Join a 1.7.2.4 server. Once in the lobby disconnect. When you get to the ARMAII menu screen what version does it say???

No artifacts for me...but I have..... A. successfully installed 1.7.2.5 update B. successfully installed 95883 beta C. Only have played on servers with the correct beta. Also load times for me are super fast.

The one with higher number is the older one :)They keep going till it gets to zero...then your head explodes. :P

Maybe if we're seeing the artifacting we should post what beta we are using and what beta the server we're on is using. Might help to isolate problem. Just saying "artifacting worse than ever" really doesn't help
