I disagree...bear traps are vitally important game mechanic. Without them game play would be seriously affected for the worse. I just left some poor soul on the ground with a broken leg to be devoured by zeds because i was unable to communicate with them. Who cares. Maybe ill score a bear trap SQUEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Absurd advice....as if the video card is the only determining factor in whether or not the PC will run DAYZ. I suggest doing a google search for "system requirements for ARMA II" The main determining factors are 1) CPU (i believe a dual core @ 2.4 is min but not sure) 2) Available RAM 3) video card (probably any current generation Nforce card will do or high end last generation)4) OS But this probably is not an issue. EDIT: keep in mind that your power supply is a major determining factor in what video cards you can use. But with a prebuilt machine this likely a moot point

I agree with you...but since whenever a discussion about getting banditry or KOS mentality under control is started the arguments get shouted down and drowned out. So i figured i would use their tactic back at them...fight fire with fire ya know. I know it makes me look dumb but i'm not, so i could care less. I can shout down and flame with the best of them so i WILL NOT STAND BY and let people simply tell players like myself to "shut up" or "stop crying". I will engage them....and expose them for the dolts they are....even if i make myself look like an asshole in the process. But again.....I agree with your post :)

Right it doesn't say step two: kill zombies & every other human player you encounter. You listed two two generic arguments..."People keep saying 'Get rid of it" or "Punish them!"" But you leave people who say give us a way to identify them as a bandit. I hardly see how this punishing banditry. It doesn't even hardly matter because most bandits blind side you anyway. The one place it would give a tiny advantage is in those moments when you literally come face to face with another player by chance. That tiny advantage of me being able to identify them as hostile would have saved my life numerous times. I can't see a logical reason why a person would be opposed to this other than...the bandit might get killed. So really the bandits argument comes down to them not wanting to be killed. Which is exactly the ground on which they attack survivors in the forums by saying..."Stop crying about getting killed". Really bandits have a huge advantage as it stands....It cracks me up that people who shoot and rob other players cry "unfair" when any discussion of curbing the KOS mentality comes up. Bandits crying "unfair". Really?

seems reasonable....and it would only work in servers with nameplates enabled so bandits just wouldnt play on those servers. Its a good idea but unrealistic with the current state of server system in DAyZ

Excuse me for being an idiot but how the fuck am i supposed to "judge another players character"? You claim this game is so cool because the decision to trust another is based on my ability to judge character. In order for this to be true the character would have to "display" some gameworld representation of character for me to judge. Which is exactly what me and people like me are asking for......So you sort of just made my point for me. :)

true...what it would do though is if i was coming out of somewhere or around a corner and we bumped into each other i would know immediatly to run or kill you. I have died many times this way shot while trying to communicate to someone i was friendly. It would tip the game slightly towards having more than one way to play. As it stands its almost completely slanted towards a single style of play which kos banditry. I know alot of players agree with me or at least are open to some change in the game to address this issue. We just need to convince Rocket. But i am taking a break at least to see if all this childishness stops. If not....no biggie.
