So in the post for server owners it states... But how much is "excessive ping?" I am in Australia and playing my friends w/ from America, so I play on US servers since I get around 180-220 ping to the right ones. Yet i'd say I get kicked from 70-80% of them for my "excessive ping" of 200. I think most people would agree that 200 ping is NOT excessive. Closer to 300? Sure. But I don't see how anything below 250 is disruptive to other players.

The admin has no way of knowing what happened without spending a long time looking through logs, and even then there might not be anything incriminating there. People really need to stop looking for the nearest scapegoat whenever a hacker hits a server.

Most of the people who try pinning this shit on someone just have absolutely no idea what they're talking about. If a hacker is able to kill everyone on a server he certainly doesn't need to loot the bodies because he can give himself whatever he wants. If you don't have the server logs AND know how to read them you have absolutely no idea who did what. Not even an inkling.

Being in the clan doesn't mean he's the server host.

"friendly fire" shows up because in Day Z everyone is on the same 'team' (BLUFOR). I don't know why it only shows up sometimes, but for me it shows up often when I kill someone from close range. This is admin abuse not hacking.

No one is ever going to be banned for taking items off a corpse and arguing about the ethics of this is stupid. Just stop.

How would passworded servers fix this, aside from allowing server admins and their friends a free safe place to farm loot? lol.

Um all of this is Arma not Day Z. You actually are giving $0 to Day Z by buying Arma 2. If you want to wait for all of these to be fixed, AND give money to the creators wait for the standalone version.

this happened to me yesterday, killed one guy in the same spot 4 times and he kept instantly coming back with the same gear. I think he was using something to log off before his death was written to the hive. His death also didn't show up in the bottom left and his corpse disappeared about 30 sec after he died each time.

Its Arma 2. Theres not much the devs can do about it aside from banning, but when you don't have good automatic detection or cheat prevention (which is the fault of Arma 2, not the Day Z devs) its pretty hard to ban especially when most cheat reports contain absolutely 0 actual proof.

They are very small, easily obscured by the foliage around heli crashes and easy to miss. They look like smaller Binoculars. I looted a Heli crash and ALMOST left without looting the NVG, only saw them as I was leaving and looked back. Be careful!

Also, If you shoot the Engine Block of any vehicle in game twice, you'll destroy the engine and put the vehicle to a standstill.
