When I watch streams I see people who put down waypoints on their map and then it shows them a marker when they're in game which tells them the distance and they can just go straight to it. How do you do that? I've tried clicking and stuff can't figure it out. I can drop map markers with names, but I can't figure out how to get a "current objective" type thing that shows up outside of the map.

What reward do bandits have that friendly players can't get? If you're sneaky and careful you can loot everything in the game without ever being seen by another player.

Thanks. Anyone know what server setting I need if I want map "current objective" indicator enabled, no crosshair, no white circles over players/zombies, and 3rd person on?

Pretty sure everything is overpowered when you only consider how useful it is vs zombies.

game lacking rpg mechanics, features like being able to build your won fortifications/whatever zombies are not a tret that force players to coop in order to survive. all these problems must (and i hope will be) solved in order to have anykind of good game experience. i'm loneywolfing mostly so it's not a big deal for me, but game really lack that feeling it got before. How is it not immersive that people shoot first and ask questions later in a completely lawless world?

I've only ever died to being sniped once (and it was in the middle of a big firefight at Stary so no big deal) so i'm not just some guy whining cuz I get sniped all the time, but I definitely feel that sniper rifles take away from the game. They remove much of the risk from PvP combat. When you can safely sit in some bushes on a hill 500+m from town with an INCREDIBLY miniscule chance of anyone ever seeing you and rack up kills why would you ever go into town? The people who do are just being reckless. The game needs more cqc/medium range combat. I've found it very lacking past the initial spawn at Elektro/Cherno/South airfield. Once everyone heads north they start to play incredibly cautiously until they pick up a sniper rifle for themselves, because the risk of actually being in range of anyone with one of the <300m range weapons is too high.

If there were logs they would've already been posted, considering Rhino pm'd me saying if I kept posting he'd post. Maybe he'll fake some now, but i'm 100% sure that "isn't in my/my friends clan and was afk and then dc'd a few times" is enough log to be called a hacker on this server. Good luck if you're not in TOG or friends with TOG on Seattle 127 I guess. The random people who've been playing for a week with crappy gear will be singled out as "hackers" whenever a hacker hits the server (and god are hackers common in this game so i'm sure it will happen again) until you guys have no one left to kill.

You and your TOG friends just want someone to scapegoat I guess. "Was AFK in and the lobby then dc'd/rejoined a couple of times" is considered hacking now.

Have you tried connecting to a regular Arma 2/CO server?

you should put shortcuts to action points in your description, no one wants to watch 35min of video, they want to see the shooting
