The Arma engine is pretty awesome if you ask me.

Simple: Realistic beard growth corresponding to the days you are alive.

Imagine being freshly spawned, just equipped with a luckily found crossbow and than run into a noob, who happens to be fully stacked with the best equipment and weapons in the game... Wow.

If you have more food and water than you need and are armed to the teeth what else is there to do than hunt other players? Basic survival is way to easy atm.

Water and especially food are much to easy to get. Currently its much more about getting fancy weapons and equipment than actual surviving. - drastically reduce the nr. of animals. - Foot and drinks should be only available in current quantities in the coastal cities and much rarer in land. - most water sources should be contaminated and require some sort of substance to clean it before drinking - to make up for lack of food, cannibalism should be possible
