I did all the steps required yet the out-come remains pretty much the same, a plain white screen once I've connected and loaded up in the server. I can move for maybe a milisecond and then everything immediately goes a pure white and locks up my entire game, I have to close the process to exit the screen. So perhaps that has something to do with it? On a side note before all of this, I reinstalled arma 2 (which I purchased, its not the free version) and I've reinstalled arma2oa completely (this didn't fix anything at all I do not suggest doing this). I've also verified the integrity of arma 2 and the expansion multiple times (only good for one time, after that its basically going to loop that it needs to revalidate BE). edit: It appears its missing a validation file... http://puu.sh/9vsDV/83f2f28e56.jpg It said it was installing the BE anti-cheat software.... I learned that this is just by default what you will get when revalidating your copy of arma (which happens to be BE it has nothing to do with it being corrupt). Last edit: For those interested and experiencing a issue similar to me it helped to do the following (this is entirely experimental and I do not have this down to a science): take the arma 2 directory located in commons and drag and drop ALL of the files over the arma 2 oa (this helps with missing map errors apparently), I made sure to do everything suggested by the OP, I ran steam as administrator, I eventually reinstalled dayz (through dayz commander) and epoch (untested, I only was able to successfully do this via a vanilla sever), something to note is the launch options now that game spy is down you have to be sure to alter your launch options for what ever mod you're going to play, and I ran arma in windowed mode while i tested this. I was only able to connect once to a near empty server. I'll be sure to update my post with a more stable and reliable solution to this problem provided I don't just move onto a game that works out of the box. Good luck and happy googling.

6:00 for the lols part 2... After all the dust had settled and the hacker had his way with everyone i decided i'd give the server another go.

Well obviously someone hasn't explored much. Check my videos, these items are abundant on ALL the old servers. Takes me maybe... 1 hour to get all that equipment back.

Wait what? I thought it was safe to post in off-topic?... Well i apologize regardless. Oh well, i forgot about that, i had plenty of ammo to waste on that vehicle as you could tell in the vidya. Interesting theory, it was hilarious for me though because i caught them off-guard and then of course that shit storm ensued. Illegal stuff? The hacker(s) spawned it, i just went to town. I figured i was going to get spawned in the ocean or some crap so i grabbed some basic stuff and was on my way. I'll die in a couple of days and it'll be back to hunting hackers up north again in double digit servers. Also for the hero bit, i'm about as far away as you can get to being a hero. /shrug

Hmm, re-reading. That be my vidya, i thought you were referring to video as if it were a detailed info on how to hack? It's merely show casing how easily this game breaks under large amounts of lag. Your counter proof of him posting something on a "hack" channel doesn't mean he hacks and to top it off that video doesn't even show any hacking. It's quite hilarious that you make that leap merely to cover your own tracks. Anyways, sorry to intrude i'm going to be on my way now. edit: Mind explaining why you changed your server name? Oh please, i had 3 guys blast a UAZ as it drove at us and none of them died in the UAZ. We mother fucking unloaded on that car and shot them as they got out and they STILL managed to kill us even though we unloaded into them as they got out of the car. One of my guys had a fal and shot the driver (he didnt die? one shot kill bs). /shrug It's just part of what this game is sometimes.

Obviously i'm looking for a dayz group! I am by no means a novice at this game, I know how to navigate, i know all about the nw and ne airfields, how rifles work with range/usage of range finders, where cars spawn, where weapons spawn, even where to find maps for spawns/cars/high yield areas, etc. I'm 19 years old I follow orders very well and i am not a shithead annoying 12 year old. I use to be a point man for my old group so i wouldn't mind being one for yours. Also, i've played well over 300 hours unfortunately i use the six launcher and steam only shows that i've played around 120 hours or so but I also play the game correctly i.e. (Aborting before dying, server hopping to kill other players, etc.) i avoid using exploits is the point trying to be made.
