Lets say we can craft arrows, we have tents, and canned food is really rare. Situation nr 1: Drop all your valuable stuff into a tent. Grab a bow and arrows - go hunting. Gather enough meat for a couple of days, proceed with regular acitvities. Again, I hope that more animals will try tu run from us (like deers) because punching a cow untill it dies is... eh... Situation nr 2: Lets say we finally have tons of zeds everywhere. Same as above: put all your valuables into a tent. Get bow and arrows, big backpack. Go looting, shoot zeds silently so you won't attract more of them or even worse - players. So I could see bows and crossbows having some potential in the future, definitely not now.

I'd like to see each wepon coming with it's pros and cons. "Should I pick easy to maintain AK that uses popular ammo, but lacks accuracy or grab that special rare assault rifle that comes with one full mag, will be a pain in the ass to maintain, close to impossible to repair and might jam when I need it the most? Where will I get ammo for that fancy gun?" If you get some rare weapon that needs to be cleaned every 5 mins if you keep running in the rain next time you might consider picking up something more reliable. Remember how everyone in the Mod would pick M14 over Fn Fal simply because red dot and easy to find ammo?

Been there done that. You should really try some of the less popular, survival oriented servers for the mod. Back to the topic: You end up with a bunch of well-organised groups that are geared to their teeth and fight each other or shoot bambies out of boredom while almost every single lone wolf/bambi/hero runs around with crap weapons and complains that he can't defend himself. High value loot spawns are camped 24/7, your best option is spotting a heli crash and praying nobody is watching it.

So, option nr 2. Unless you don't get killed yourself but you're still mad because somewhere 5km away from you nameless bambi gets killed even if it doesn't affect you. Btw, PvP is a part of survival, especially in DayZ. Deal with it.

Why people dislike PvP? Because it causes problems for them = they get killed often. So here are 2 options: Either they die a lot because they want to PvP themselves and they just lack experience. = they're bad at it and trying to improve Or they die a lot while trying to avoid PvP completly. = they're bad because they won't stay away from dangerous places (Berezino, Elektro or whatever we have now) or they do stupid things (using loud weapons when looting) Simple logic. Feel free to deny everything rather than thinking about it for a minute.

Here we go again. I'll keep it simple: 1. PvP requires a lot of skill whether you like it or not. 2. For a 1000th time - reducing weapon spawns won't keep me from killing you. I'll use sticks and stones if there's nothing else left and you will die. 3. KoS unrealistic, it wouldn't happen in rl etc - we're talking about video game. I don't give a sh*t what would happen in rl. If you want semi-realistic experience look for hardcore role playing servers and get bored to death. Thank you, come again.

Practice, practice, practice. After 2 years of DayZ mod I still get adrenaline rush in most of PvP situations but I'm able to think straight and do right things even if afterwards I realize that me hands are shaking.

You're complaining about PvP in general. You even go as far as assuming that we PvP just to be an assholes which shows that you don't have much idea what DayZ PvP is about. It's a quite common thing on these forums, Almost every single person that dislikes PvP simply doesn't understand it and instead of trying to try it they'd rather throw a bunch of insults at all the PvPers. For example: Insults + "I don't understand it" part. I give you a favor by killing you. You have the opportunity to think what you did wrong and not make the same mistake again, by this you beceome a better, more skilled player. If you fail to take a lesson from that you deserve to get killed over and over again.

With risk comes reward and fun. Do you follow any sports? Do you see brazilian football team apologising to Croatians for winning. I'm sure Croatians are upset with the final result of the game. It's just how it works. Sometimes you win and celebrate, sometimes you get your ass kicked so you can have motivation to improve your skills and think what mistakes you made. If 2 players compete there will always be one person happy and one upset. This isn't some My Little Pony edition of DayZ where everybody can hold hands and where you get "Congratulations, you're a winner" for every single thing you accomplish. If current situation is too difficult for you to handle I strongly recommend co-op only games.

You'll end up with massive screamfest on TS and half of them will kill each other in confusion.

I'm not sure if I get it. You group up, go to Berezino, kill all the zeds and loot everything. Then you just give people roles and chat? Why don't just play Altis Life?

Here's the thing: if you had any clue about DayZ PvP you would know that there aren't any other FPS games that offer similar experience I assume that it's a matter of skill because when I started my journey with DayZ I also had problem with bandits. But I've learned a lot since then and now I can avoid or survive bandit encounters ~90% of the time. I'm not talking about recklessly attacking well armed team. When I want to avoid any PvP I can easily do it by not being stupid and using my experience. I'm not going to feel responsible for every person that will feel upset with my choice of playstyle, especially in the game that encourages players to do whatever the hell they want. There are many games that offer survival in zombie apocalypse theme without the fear of getting killed by other players. How about you try them if you can't deal with the fact that PvP is integral part of DayZ experience? Here we go again: "My playstyle choice is better than yours because it is".

If you can't handle PvP you don't deserve to play DayZ at all. Couldn't care less about your feelings. All I hear is "I'm bad at it and I refuse to get better because it takes effort".

Guess what? There must be a reason why so many people complain and since they payed to help in the developement process thay have a damn right to voice their opinions.

What's up with that obsession to make ppl talk to you? It seems like a a common thing. On multiple ocassions when I was derping around in some city freshly after spawning I had some geared guys approaching me and starting a conversation. Then they would threat to shoot me if I don't talk back. Thay even flip out when you calmly tell them to fck off and leave me alone. Or they just follow you and ask "why don't you talk with me?" Srsly, worse than jehovah's witnesses. Do you just want to hear the voice of the guy you're about to shoot or do you seriously think that you will make friends by approaching random person and saying "hi"?
