The only way to grief in a sandbox game is to cheat or use game breaking exploits like hiding inside the church walls. Headshots destroy nothing but the helmet and even center of mass shots don't destroy your gun.

I'm curious, how would you react to monotone Risk != skill. It's not like you can get shot at and win a fight, if they're within proximity they can instantly kill you. It's a gamble. Regardless I'd say it's more skillful to kill for gear than to go inland and find gear away from most of the population. -
I'm guessing this is just a bug where your character slowly transitions from 100% sickness to 0% sickness even if you were at 0% sickness to begin with.

Why the hell would you want to play a game based on player interaction without killing? As terrible an idea as I think it is PvE servers will probably be possible later on private hives.

Bullets are almost completely silent over a distance. My friend died while climbing a firestation in Elektro, at first I thought the ladder ate him but it was a sniper several hundred meters away.

The turn speed limit is not the issue. The acceleration and negative acceleration that doesn't even take moment of inertia into account is.

Ruining gear is easily countered with a headshot.

This doesn't seem possible without the magical skins. Someone's entire inventory is usually worth less than a single bullet.

Did you just change font mid-post? If you had pulled out your wrench and whacked him for no reason you could've gotten 100% of those beans. I kill someone from a distance and I get blood on me? What?

I tried it once and I didn't feel anything you liar.

That's more random than difficult, if he decides to shoot you you can't retaliate because you die in one bullet. It's also far less rewarding than killing him and taking his stuff. I know you're being sarcastic and all but there really are no consequences for killing someone with no law enforcement and no witnesses.

I managed to distract some guys away from a duped corpse in Elektro, I ran up to the room and grabbed a shotgun and a revolver off of it. I hear the guys coming back up the stairs so I wait with the revolver aimed head level at the door. One pops out, I fire at the center of his head. Nothing. Just a smoke puff behind him as if the bullet had passed through a wormhole exiting behind his head. Boom boom, I'm dead. Anyone else have something like this happen?

The abuse of people's good will is smart. The ability to be a sociopath is a big part of DayZ.

The muzzle velocity of a Colt Python with a 6" barrel is somewhere around 410 m/s according to google. Zeroed at 200m it would fire 0.00583 radians or 20 MoA above where I'm aiming. 5 meters away it's going to go 3cm above the muzzle (which is actually probably exactly where I'm aiming because the sights are above the muzzle). Props for not taking the easy route and calling me a CoD player though.

That turns the gun faster than the head. That's the exact opposite of what we're talking about.

Your head can turn separately from the gun. The weird ass acceleration is completely separate from the turn speed limit anyways.

Use your damn thinkmaker, raw mouse input doesn't mean a raised gun can turn as fast as the head.

Look as far up as possible and freelook behind you, you can see right over the mountain backpack.

There's nothing to do in alpha besides KoS, I can kill a few guys in Elektro and have the best gear in the game.

It's impossible to move the gun and your head at the same time without TrackIR.
