    Keep playing, be offensive, calm and smart. Being passive and freaked out in combat will get you killed 9 out of 10. 

     

    Be conservative in ammunition, make every bullet count. Don't sprey. Aim your shots chest and above. 

     

    In all the above, be a Man.

    The new lighting looks amazing, the invoronment looks refreshed and really really good (I don't know if you can make a difference in the ss but go take a look yourself)

    The new two handed animation for the axe looks a bit weird but it's deadly accurate, tried it on a zombie.

    The bad thing with the axe wielding is a bug where it gives you insane speed when sprinting. If you think punches up running was fast, go check out axe raised wielding. 

     

    New lighting with gas lamp working nice.

    Hey retard, before you blast off again do some research. 

     

    He said he is gonna leave when alpha is done. And that's fine. The game will be finished in it's core and features. So, he won't stick around to do the bug fixing. And even if he leaves before the beta, that's fine too, a man can go after his own heart. There are some capable people working on, he is not alone developing the game... OMIGIII, THIII GAME IS RuIIINEd.

    If the game was not easy at this point noone would play it. There is nothing to do at this point besides gathering shit and loosing shit. Difficulty will change, loot will change, alot of things will change over time.

    ya I join the game some times just to eat and find food,I find it fun to just hold up in a  house and eat food.

    But it takes just one minute of not paying atention and one zombie hit later you will be bleading and will die before you can heal.

    Its a hard world.

     

    If only i could eat while sitting... My life would be settled. At a cabin in the woods. Far away in the mountains. And soon, soon.... my dream would come true. Hunting for animals. With ocassional runs to the towns/villages for ammo....

     

    I can dream, can't i?

    Does anyone else log in and find their stuff magically mixed up and in random places? I do every time. Really annoying for OCD people.

     

    Yeap, it happens. It was really frustrating for me. But then again, i found a reason to keep coming back to the game regularly. Seriously. Just to rearrange my backpack and to find some more beans. 

     

    Random Access Backpacks keep this game alive.

    Hi, I'm pretty sure I will be able to at least run DayZ, but I was wondering what kind of performance I could expect from it? Thanks.

    We have the same hardware specs with the only difference that i have a cpu bottleneck. (AMD Phenom II x6 1075t)

     

    I say you will play the game fine. In most places i have 33+ FPS with this crappy CPU . Only towns are a problem with me, 15-20 FPS tops.

    Game is also ment to be spawning loot and zombies not only when server restarts.

    So it's more like enduring until Devs figure and implement respawn while keeping good server FPS.

     

    Playing on looted server aint much of  fun...

     

    Never had a problem with loot at the stable patch, really. There are enough places for you to go -even in a full servers-  and find loot. Yes, the respawn issue must be addressed but, is it me or these types of complaints come from players still lootlooping spawn->elekrto/cherno->starry/vybor->nwaf->death->forum rant?

     

    There are 46 cities/towns/villages. Every single one of them have enterable buildings with potencial loot in them. And these are only the towns/villages, no need to mention the barns, shacks, military compounds, etc etc.

    Hi sorry im new to this but could someone tell me if my laptop will run dayz standalone please?

    Make sure Vsync is disabled, Ambient Occlusion (Settings -> Video -> Rendering) is disabled and Objects (Settings -> Video -> Quality) are on low. Start from there. I think you'll be able to run the game fine with those settings even in your native resolution. Keep in mind though, in major cities you won't be able to pop more than 20~25 fps. Don't get dissapointed. In less performance intensive areas, in which case is everywhere except major towns, your framerate will be at playable levels. 

     

    If you are not happy with the framerate using the above settings, disable Shadows and Clouds (Settings -> Video -> Quality)

    Bro tip: Don't swap your axe for a machete. Registered 6 or 7 swings to the head of a survivor, not even bleeding. Some 5-6 at thetorso area, same. 1 or 2 at the kneecap, not even a broken bone. 

     

    The damage output is rediculously low. You have better chances with bare hands. 

     

     

    How about the current fps bug? Will it be fixed in this patch?

     

     

    The fps bug didn't occur to me at all. On the contrary, i have better FPS and less stuttering. Go try the patch yourself, if you haven't already.
