Just played it.. Incredible. The atmosphere is amazing. And do yourself a favor and don't look at the map first. Go exploring. Too bad I fell off some scaffolding 5 minutes in, broke some bones, then was mauled by zombies. Ah, DayZ. But really, this is my new favorite map and will be playing it a lot.

Welcome to the community. I'd recommend using DayZ Commander instead of Six Launcher, as it allows for more install options such as the needed ARMA beta patches and new maps for your enjoyment. It also allows for more filters to be used when searching for servers.

I have one in Krasnostav

I am a vegan, so in game I do not eat anything containing meat, nor do I drink Pepsi or Coke. This is rather difficult if a water bottle is not found rather quickly. I'm also assuming that the canned pasta and baked beans are indeed safe, because if they weren't, this way of playing would be impossible. I also walk more than I run. This adds to the realism, plus makes you look around and take in the beauty of the landscape (and makes you an easy kill for a sniper). I'm satisfied.
