"Lost" Alice

I'm one of those annoying people that talks about their favorite video game(s) a lot. Has this happened to you? Halfway though the conversation the person you're talking to finally asks why you're talking so fanatically about killer plant life, and then asks if it's anything like Plants VS Zombies. This has happened to me in 3 different conversations I swear, and I don't know how to get around it without sounding like some OCD spelling nazi.

This has been a problem for me for several weeks now, (as in I tried to here and there over the last several weeks but became discouraged when I couldn't play the female avatar) and I'm not sure how to go about fixing it, I've tried several different servers and am still getting the same issue.

GODDDAMN BANDITS GET OFF MY LAWN

At first I didn't agree (or simply did not want to believe) the idea that intelligence leads to deceitfulness. But then I remembered reading somewhere that the more creative a person is, the more likely they are to lie. And creativity has always been associated with intelligence. This is a rather sad realization.

While I agree with the Cap'n about the whole 'we can't punish bandits' thing. I think LansEllion has put a lot more thought and organization into his Karma idea than most other threads

Maaaan I wish it were that easy. You might have to just hoof it dude, that's what I've had to do when I was teleported to the debug plains on three different occasions. It's been a while, but I think you have to travel against the clouds? O_o Or was it *with* the clouds? gosh I can't remember.

This happened to me when I first installed Arma + Day Z. I had to uninstall and re-install the entire thing :( I know it's a pain, but it's the sure thing that worked for me.

Perhaps the birth of another Day Z Urban Legend. I wrote a story about a Church Massacre in Cherno that can be found [here] In part 1, I was extremely excited because I found Mountain Dew in one of the Cherno Bars, but then about 25 minutes later I was killed in a Church Shoot out where EVERYBODY DIED (body count was 6 when I was killed, subsequently there was probably more). Then Bzreliqua made a really interesting comment on the story "Mountain Dew, Bad luck IMO. I always die when I find them." I was absolutely entranced by this theory, and so I asked around... I've had about 3 other friends find a can, and they were all killed within an hour (2/3 by some unavoidable tragedy). Probably just coencidence, but it's certainly something fun to think about! :D Anyway, I was thinking about typing up another short story or two about Mountain Dew, and for inspiration I'd love to hear any other survivor experiences of what happened to you, after you or a friend found Mountain Dew, Even if it's been DAYS and you still have it, or you drank it right away, or if nothing happened at all. Let me hear them! (But obviously am most excited for bad luck stories). What are some hilarious/Memorable Last words said/heard in Day Z, while you've been playing? Bonus points if you can match it with a funny picture :-) or post the actual video! I hope that this isn't a repeat thread, I swear I did a search and didn't find anything. I know they took away respawn a while ago, but having taken breaks from Day Z here and there, this is still a pretty new subject for me. I'm curious to know what your thoughts are on removing the respawn, I'm genuinely curious to know what people around the community think, and how this has affected their game play. I like that it helps a lot with immersion, It dampens the high-risk/High-reward factor people get for sprinting in and out of cherno. At least for me, knowing I cannot respawn if any little thing goes wrong makes me value my current life even more. It's also really interesting that it's pretty much forcing people to actually commit suicide if they want to respawn. I personally hate having to walk off a building or bridge, or let myself be killed by zombies; I know it's just a video game, but it's still kind of jarring on some level. Currently the only downside I see to this is not being able to respawn until I'm with my friends. It's very annoying, but I've gotten used to coast running, so It's not a terrible issue for me. I think I also read a comment way back about potentially allowing people to commit suicide with their own firearms? That's crazy, haha, having to click the mouse to pull the trigger on yourself. I personally want everything to be a weapon, Zombie lumbering at me? TABLE LAMP TO THE FACE!!!! Bandit hunting me down? Why can't I combine my whiskey bottle, matches and bandages to make a molotov cocktail!? So I am all for this idea.

I *DO* sort of miss running down the coast and finding 3-5 dead bodies of fresh spawns and taking their bandages and pain killers, I felt like a medic before I even got any gear! ^.^
