Hello, I'm new to Arma2 and DayZ. I bought OA on steam today and installed the mod, but I'm having trouble. I put those files in the @DayZ/addons folder and changed the launch properties. First I had problems with joining because it seemed I missed .chernarus or whatever it's called but I solved that. Now I get past that error message, but it takes really long to join a server. It seems to freeze on "Receiving Data..." somewhere on 90%, but eventually it gets past this. Then I have to wait a long time 10~minutes at least for the server to response and to request a character. When I get past that, I enter the server but can't move, and the Debug HUD is not there. What I do then is try to respawn. Then I can move around, but there's no sound and the HUD's still missing. I also have no gear, nor gun. Can anyone help me with this problem? If you need any information, just ask. I'm not sure how to explain the problem. p.s. The first time I ran the game with Six-updater it worked and I could play a full life. Now it won't work. [Edit]: Changed thread title. I just found out that I can see my body if I look down in first person, but I'm invisible when in third person. I always spawn in the forest too. Voice chat is the only thing that does work. I can hear Russians talking.
