Trust no one. Even if they say they're friendly. I make sure their gun is down, and they're out of sight. If they don't comply, I find another way around, or gun them down. Currently watching over a wounded friend in Cherno with a SVD Camo and a Rangefinder. Anyone who comes within 50 feet of that building get's a bullet through theirs skull. I protect my friends in this game, because it's means for survival. You did the right thing.

It would be awesome. I've searched the topics, but they were dumb. All it had was, "increese da movement speed" What it does, is it slows down bleeding from 60 blood, to 15 blood (75% slowdown) and increases movement speed by 25%, and increases action speed (ADS, going in to crouch or prone, climbing, bandaging etc.). However, your screen will be grayed out, much like when you are low on blood so there will be visual impairment and such. What adrenline will be used for, is for situations where you're surrounded after getting hit by a zombie, but there's no time to bandage and there's no buildings in your area. You take a shot of adrenaline, it'll stop the amount of blood lost and you can hopefully get to a safer area faster to bandage yourself. The duration of Adrenaline is 5 minutes. Now, Prozac does the opposite. What it will do is it will calm the player. It'll cancel out ALL effects of the Adrenaline (and vice versa) and will change the effects. What Prozac will do is if you run out of stamina, taking Prozac will still your ADS mode and scope so there will be no shaking while looking down scope and binoculars. Under the effect of Prozac, even after running for a long time, you will never have problems due to stamina issues. More effects such as resisted damage done by anything by 40% and less likely for bleeding to occur. If you recieve shock during the effects of Prozac, it will reduce the time by 50%. The Prozac can be used before hand, or it can be used by a teammate on you. The duration of Prozac is 15 minutes.

Actually, what would be really cool, is being able to use the flashlight as a deployable lamp. Lighting a room up, while using your primary weapon. Almost like a kerosine lamp with batteries.

We have flashlights, flares, chemsticks, and military flashlights. We just need to use what we have at hand.

Unatural damages and bleeding from blunt forces to the nose such as epistaxis can be stopped in emergencies through the use of vasoconstrictors. It's not going to be shooting out your ears. And while it does increase blood pressure, it isn't harmful unless it's generally high beforehand. It increases blood coagulation as well. If you apply pressure on a cloth soaked in epinephrine, it can slow down the blood flow.

Yes, and my leg shouldn't be breaking from an opening door. I couldn't give 2 shits about realism or it's adverse effects in real life. Also, Adrenaline is an epinephrine so it can stop bleeding because it is a vasoconstrictor. It's used to STOP superficial bleeding, why in the hell would it increase bleeding? EDIT: Ya nub.

I avoid people I don't know at all costs. Even if they say they're friendly. Trust no one, don't be friendly, and don't respond to "friendlies". I have over 800 zombie kills, no bandit kills or murders.

Turning up the Gamma and Brightness doesn't work if it's pitch black. -_- It'll wash out all the colors and you'll only be able to see things in a black/white scale. It looks awful, can you can't do anything. With NVGs it actually makes things visible at night. Meaning you can actually see the texture of the floor you stand on.

This is the ENTIRE problem with the game. People just backstab eachother and decide it's easier to grab the equipment off other players. It's lost it's feel to me as a game, it's now currently PvP + Zombies. Now, we're all worried about other players than the actual zombies, the zombies are 0 threat compared to players. -

I've played Arma 2 ever since it came out and it just doesn't help that much with DayZ. Players need to be thrown in the deep end first hand, it'll give them more experience. -

Um, no. DayZ has unlimited respawns, let them die as much as they want. It's a learning curve, and they can learn how ever they want in my opinion. Besides, Arma 2 won't help them practice avoiding zombies, or, when to sprint. It teaches controls, and you can do that in DayZ. -
Ooohh, well judging by what people have been saying, including those under me. They just don't seem to take to the idea. ): And nobody really cares about ideas if they're not possible in the game. This is a suggestions board, not a "do you agree that X should be put it because it would be cool." This is to make the game better, not cater to your weir fucking playstyle. This feature is broken, has minimal pros, and clearly has people against you. You see, vaden1989 even says I listed the cons to this. There just isn't an upside. I do NOT dislike the idea, because it works in games like FO3. I dikslike the idea in DayZ because it's useless, and just doesn't work.

Also yes, FO:3 & NV were banned for the use of Morphine, cannabalism, drug references and such. And believe me, it's *possible* to get around it, but very unlikely. Becuase you clearly have never had a lawsuit on your hands have you, so just how the fuck makes you right about everything. Why in the hell should we listen to a word you say, because not only do you have SUCH a big superiority complex over everything that you're too proud to admit you're wrong. And THAT'S why you dodge questions and answer by explaining their troll posts. But no, you're just a proud fuck who's to up on his high horse to realize he's wrong, and I absolutely HATE people like that. So no, the reason why I truly hate your idea is because of you. You're presentation of the idea was so fucking terrible, it hurt. Y'see, I love FO:3 and NV. And the cannablism didn't bother me there, because it WORKED in that game. It was balanced, it made sense, it was optional and had good consequences to your actions (negative karma). This game JUST DOESN'T NEED IT. Not only is it a waste of the dev's time, it's a controversial feature to be put in, and rocket already said he didn't want any of that shit. Balance > Realism Realism =/= Fun The reason we HAVE these alternatives to eating, is that players are SUPPOSED to decide how to treat their time. Whether to grab food, drinks, ammo, weapons. Your shitty "alternative" is a double negative. The cons: - You reduce the need for the actual loot spots for food. Just go out, and kill a player and eat him. - If no one USES the feature, because the players are too hard to find and it's not worth it, it just wastes time as a useless feature. - You're encourging MORE PvP (Which we really don't need). - Food is instantly less valuable, and hunting becomes more and more redundant. - If you actually suck that much for the feature to be useful, you need to spend time getting your priorities straight on how to search for items. - You essentially remove dying from starvation as a huge issue. We WANT it as an issue, it's what makes it fun. - It CAN get banned in places if it is on a standalone game. - It's controversial as hell. Here are some of the "pros" - Yes, it serves as a seemingly useless alternative, but an alteranative none the less. That's all I can think of. All the pros of this idea are terrible, and so little to no purpose. It actually ruins the game for people, because you claim that you kill sooo many people. It'll just encourage players to player hunt more, we want LESS PvP, and more teamwork with strangers.

There are a multitude of ways to get rid of zombies. - Get a friend or someone else to kill them. - Break line of sight. - Buildings. - Use steep hills to make them walk. - Not getting caught in the first place. There you go, the zombie chase time is fine as long as they can't hit you while you're running. -
Communication DOES need to improve. Before you can say you're friendly you're either shot dead or robbed. Saddens me.

I don't get people's thinking like this. The game isn't supposed to be a goddamn walk in the park. It's SUPPOSED to be harder earlier on.

If this was the case, I would have about 6 billion ghillie suits. We're not manipulating the way people play the game. There's clans for a reason, stay in a group, or be smart solo play.

It may sound odd, and most of you will just say, "Use the free aim camera view". That is helpful, but it doesn't give you a full 360 view. If possible, a mirror should be an option as an item. It takes up one slot, and would be binded to a key much like the binoculars are. What you can do, is use the mirror to be able to look directly behind you (a full 180 degrees). The free camera only looks to a certain degree, so you have a blind spot until you stop, turn and face that direction or closer to that direct. By the time you're turning around, the person(s) following you will notice you turning around, and potentially become hostile. With a mirror, you can discreetly look what's behind you. When hitting "K" the compass comes up, the mirror would do just that, but when moving the mouse as you're looking it moves the angle of the mirror to see direct behind you, or wherever the FOV of the mirror is. You cannot use your gun when having the mirror out, but the mirror would pop up as quickly as the compass would. This can be used in a lot of tactical positions. Such as, in a deer stand. If you're looking the opposite direction of the ladder, people can climb the ladder and/or snipe you through the entrance. This way, you can look forward but still be cautious of what's behind you. Another one is sniping, say you're in a position and you have your sights set. You want to look behind you, but you don't want to reposition your sights so you can get a steady aim. Just open the mirror up, take a glance behind you, and keep looking forward. Games use world models, such as more modern games. If you look at the scope of the sniper, you can see the reflection of the environment in it. Having something like this would be useful, and it would bring a tactical and gameplay advantage. Such as, seeing how many zombies/players are chasing you. Especially in the forrest where getting stuck on a tree or rock is the last thing you want to do.

Arma 2 simply can't support that type of combat system right now. Also, the Chainsaw is actually an awful device for zombies in this case. They sprint, melee in general isn't the best idea. What's the difference between the SAW and the Chainsaw? The SAW can be used from much farther away.
