Is it possible it has something to do with wearing a ghillie suit? I have had it happen to me the past 5 respawns which gets pretty annoying at times. Is it a glitch with 1.7.2.4 or is it something smaller?

What's your personal alignment?
Robert-_-Frost replied to bertbargo's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I posted a similar thread asking people this question. I am personally Lawful Good but here are some intresting statistics I found when people answered my thread. "So far this is what the gaming population looks like this 33% evil about half (19% are lawful and chaotic evil) 19% good( important to note that no goods have been chosen above neutral good) 42% various forms of neutral excluding the goods/ evils 75% of players identify themselves as some sort of neutral all kinds From what this very small group tells me about 42% are true survivors, 33% of guys are the wolves eating the sheep, and 19% of the guys will help people for no reason but 0% will hunt bandits. From what this tells me nobody wants to fight evil they just don't want to cause it. So just like in reality a true appocolypse is a bandit's paradise... this reflects pretty poorly on humanity however... thoughts?" (Robert-_-Frost) here is a link to my topic if you want to see what people had to say for it there... http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/69157-what-is-your-characters-dd-alignment/page__hl__+what%20+is%20+your%20+character%27s%20+d__st__20 -

What is your Character's D&D alignment?
Robert-_-Frost replied to Robert-_-Frost's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Now for D&D alignments are right around 60% good, 30% evil, and about 10% neutral. D&D death is normally permanante but your character is generally much more powerful so many of these passive people such as me would chose good over neutral. Now that I know that barely anybody wants to fight evil in this game I will start pushing my character to the lawful good spectrum... I'm currently at my 28 day mark... well as the saying goes is living a long life worth living if you did nothing good? -

yea the problem is you die of blood loss not a heart attack. It dosnt matter if your able to start your heart again if you have no blood. I would like to see this item replace the epi pen though.

Um fixing hacking shouldn't be put off till beta... why? because it's killing this games reputation. I mean who gives a crap if the game has bears if hackers are in every other server. Now the devoloper team needs to hit this hacking surge so hard that anyone who hacks is perma banned and arma 2 needs to start banning hacker's cd keys, and battle eye needs to give admins power to fight back. My point is if the devo team, arma 2, and battle eye don't get their heads out of their asses it could destroy this game before it begins! -
Which map would you like to see for dayz?
Robert-_-Frost replied to liukang168's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I would like to see a map the size of tennesse or texas, United States, or pretty much any map the size of a state. If they could make a map that large you could have over thousands of towns many complex citys and so forth. Right now the largest city in dayz is tiny in comparison to the city I live in. If a map that size could be available in the standalone version i would be satisfied. -
The idea sounds sound but as shazbot04 said before some people such as me get so immersed that whenever I get suprised, spooked, or am going in for the kill so for me personally there would be no need to have a double dose of adrenaline rush in game and out of game. Although substituting this infininte run for a temporary sprint with current running being jogging wouldn't be bad... as long as you could actually outrun a zombie while sprinting.

If your wondering what I mean by "camping snipers" I'm talking about those lone snipers that kill only to kill with no intention of looting the bodies. In real life when a sniper gets a kill he cant claim it as his until he gets the dogtags off the target in order to confirm it. If a dogtag system was implemented it wouldnt stop it entirly but because in order to gain credit for the kill you would need the dogtag to prove it you would have less 1 km snipers and more snipers beginning to loot bodies even if just for the tags. A dogtag system would also make it so you cant just confirm your kill by leaderboard to the top right of your screen. This could also cut down on survivors branded bandits because they wouldnt become one unless they claimed the tags. Dog tags could in the far away future if implemented be the bandit's currency. so in a sense you could kill a fellow bandit and take all his tags or trade tags for items if your in a bandit clan. Now I have no knowledge on how to implement it but it would be a very cool system if someone could implement it. So what do you guys think?

First name: Nick Player name: Robert_Frost Age: 16 TimeZone:EST Why do you want to join: I am interested in joining because while surviving in the wilderness is fun it tends to get boring after surviving 16 days. I am not interested in becoming a bandit and would rather join this clan over some bandit clan. On a side note my play style is slow and cautious. Teamwork on a scale: 10 I am an Eagle Scout in real life and have a mic Team Speak… Nope Skype… no Steam: YES my account username is _Robert_Frost_ and my steam name is Robert Frost How long have you played dayz: I have logged 20 hours in arma itself so I know all the controls, how bullet drop works with different sniper rifles, and how to fly and drive everything except the aa10. Dayz wise I have played for 16 hours *I have owned the game for 6 weeks* Please either respond to my steam account or this account if I get accepted, thankyou

Robert-_-Frost replied to joeaguirre0's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Hello I've been playing for a good month now and am ready to enter the next step join a clan. I am a survivor not a bandit and have only killed one person. The reason being is when in a flight or fight situation I choice flight. I may not be the best fighter but I'm not stupid either. My current build is an m4a1 cco revolver and various gernades and smokes. My steam name is Robert Frost and you can tell its me if the picture matches the picture on this account. I don't shoot unless I have good reason so integrety is not an issue. I am in the eastern time zone and would be confortable doing anything for you be it scouting, fire support, or supply runs. Please contact my steam if you would like me to join this group. -
how to stop campimg sniper bandits
Robert-_-Frost replied to Robert-_-Frost's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
LogicRising I don't like this idea for a few reasons: "1. This is a zombie apocalypse game, not a war game. Why would anyone have dogtags in the zombie apocalypse? 2. The game is supposed to be about surviving in the zombie apocalypse, not about racking up the most player kills. 3. Player killing is, and should remain a secondary aspect of the gameplay that emerges from more complex motivations like supply shortages and risk aversion, not a primary one. Developing a system like the one suggested puts unnecessary emphasis on player killing and only encourages player killing behavior as a primary goal within the game." This system does not make the game any more kill oriented than it already is. The bandit was going to shoot the person no matter what if they needed to or not. I dont see how this will make banditry more appealing. Right now bandits use there murder counts as ways to gain presteige arround their bandit campfires. Like it or not once bandits get the best gear they just kill to kill and giving them a reason to loot the bodies would cut down some of the wasted resources. As I said before if your a survivor you could chose not to take the tags so you dont get labled a bandit and ruin all your chances to help a stranger. This game is supposed to be what you make it... killing people, helping people, or killing zombies. -

@wheaticus Yes your right i do watch too many movies. It makes sense that if you see him fall you should get the kill awarded but what if he bleeds out behind cover. This really applies for any banditry seeing as on most youtube videos the one question to figure out if the guy really died is "did you get a murder?" it should remain a secret if the guy really died or if he just ran off until the shooter could confirm the kill. While visual confirmation makes sense it would be much easier to simply impliment an item that added a kill to your leaderboard than to have kills confirmed when you have line of sight of the person. Also this would lead to less solo snipers kill farming but instead have more overwatch snipers shooting and having a friend collect the tags and give it to him afterwards. Also I am refering to the way the russian snipers would use this system to claim there kills for greater prestiege in ww2. In real life those snipers would wait till nightfall to move and collect their tags. I am in no way tring to say that this is jsed in modern warefare but it is or was used in a time before uav's and other means of improving optics/communications. Sorry that i didnt clarify that in the origonal post. Also who made the most rediculois statement? -

Thanks for all the feedback guys i only hope this idea will eventually get implemented instead of being forgotten. maybe the dogtags could be consumable so when you use one it raises your kill count by 1. -
War on banditry!!! Join the fight!!!
Robert-_-Frost replied to Mungaloid's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Here is a simple thing I do. When somone is being a bandit write down their user name. Then if i join a server w/ a username I wrote down I will keep an eye open for him. Now if dayz community could get the leader boards up and running i could just look up the guy's name and see how many murders he has then I could feel much more confortable hanging out with a random stranger. -
IF this was an actual game...
Robert-_-Frost replied to rocket's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Eh I would quit playing if the game became a subscription type game and on the question on how to fund the servers it's an easy solution just put advertisments in when logging in to a server garanteed to turn it into a continually money making machine without any cost to me. :) -
Well you kind of need a Dukebox to play this game Duke... are you out of gum yet?
