    Bandit Logic

The only one that can keep you from getting killed legitimately is hacking. KOS only reduces the chance that anyone you see will kill you, and most certainly does not eliminate the possibility (even theoretically) that you will be killed legitimately. Even if you had eyes on the back of your head, or a squad of ten, or only ran around at night with a dmr and ghillie. Rest assured, you will be found before you make the shot. It only takes once.
  2. Hell, they seem to know how to put a rifle on their back when they spawn...
  3. Kill someone at 800M in one shot from a CZ550. That, sir, is how to know you are a good shot.

    ps3 for dayz

Probably never. You can build a PC that will play the game great for $600 US.
  5. SVD camo is an amazing weapon if you have the patience to spend 20 minutes learning how to use it. It has a quick-use rangefinder and zero adjustment for those who are competent and skilled enough to make the shot count.
  6. 1,225,000+ unique players. 10 million murders + bandit kills. Thats, like, over 8 murders/bandit kills per player. In other words, your quota is low. Get on it. Numbers and stuff.
  7. Episode 19? One murder by 19 episodes? You sure your playing Dayz?
  8. Lieutenant Dan Kenny Jessie Pinkman
  9. I waited a split second too long one day and ended up with about 2000 blood for hours and hours after being shot by a guy. I killed him in one hit, but he wounded me enough to lose 10000 blood. I didn't have matches to cook meat, nor anyone to give me a transfusion. If they don't talk, they are dead.
  10. Rocket already mentioned being able to harvest additional things from the environment or even the pumpkins that you occasionally come across in some yards. He hopes to add it eventually.
  11. Step 1: Find hatchet and head to sniper hill. Step 2: Step 3: Profit.
  12. Most of them are? I'd give you 10% at most.
  13. You can build a decent tower with a hot little amd 4170 for under 600. I can also sell you my last tower for 200, you pay shipping. AMD Opteron dual core 1.8ghz with 512mb geforce 8800 gt oc. It runs dayz reasonably until you get in Cherno with a bunch of zombies. My email is [email protected]
  14. Get a vehicle, get shot. Love it.
  15. I like the concept of the zombies requiring a headshot (or perhaps upper spine/neck) to kill them while everything else just gimps them. If this is done, though, I think they should be slowed down considerably. If they were slower, harder to kill, and hit you harder, the zombie factor would become almost as nerve wracking as pvp IMHO.
  16. Who honestly logs in and out in such a high profile position? You are asking for it being anywhere other than hidden when logging in and out.
  17. It would definitely make things like opposition control, server hopping, farming, etc. more difficult - but the problem is that not everyone has the performance available to actually run the game on a full server. Until my upgrade two weeks ago, I couldn't join a server with more than 20 people. If you can't see how many are in the server before joining, you can't be certain the game will always be playable.
  18. Its nice to be friendly, but most of the time you are forced into a situation where you must take the shot. Take the case of a standoff against another player who has just picked up a weapon that you warned him not to. He must be killed immediately, without exception.
  19. I get about 25-30 with a 8800 GT OC, core i7 3770k, 16g ram. (waiting to buy video card) I think dayz is a bit more resource intensive than Arma ii is, but I believe it is still a mostly CPU intensive game. Arma ii runs much, much faster for me - even on full servers.
  20. All players were brought to a rooftop at once, at which point many people killed each other.
  21. Hello killers, blue taco here. I'll be playing tomorrow on the west coast starting around twelve noon MDT. I have a good connection pretty much everywhere Denver and west, although Chicago works too. I am looking for one or two guys (gals even better, but you know) who would be willing to start with nothing and then see what can be done. We'd meet up by spawning until we are close, and then build from there. My steam is "chasteh" I do have Skype and ipad for map. Works great. Proof that you are not a douchebag or a bored bandit would be great!
  22. Ok, so I have a question about the general function of the in-game text chat as I cannot get a response from people whom I either would like to trade with (after seeing them) or have a warning for them. How the hell do you communicate with other players in this game? I have used group chat (green), not even tried vehicle chat (yellow), and also used the light colored (light blue or white?) chat type (which can be accessed by hitting the begin chat key and hitting up arrow or down arrow) to even directly address players but to no avail. In one recent case I confronted an unarmed survivor who happened to be searching the same barn I was in but had camped for a few minutes. I asked friendly several times, at which point he picked up the lee enfield across the barn and shot me once (my character has been below 3,000 blood for three days now) at which point I ended his life. Am I just unrealistically expecting a response here, or am I missing something about the function of the chat feature? In another case, two survivors with heavy military gear in Stary Sobor fired their weapons north of the base. This revealed their position to me, as I was in the very large but empty barn/steel structure southeast of the tent area. As a threat/warning, I asked Darren (and his friend) if they had matches (to light a fire so I could cook my meat and eat to restore my blood to full). Amazingly, they ran across the hillside directly to the barn I was in, made a very inadequate clearing of the building, and proceeded up a ladder in the center. With no response and having recently encountered survivors who won't chat, I waited for them to climb halfway up the ladder (where they would be helpless) and took one of them down. Darren was killed immediately, and his friend disconnected (while on the ladder!) to avoid being killed. I thought I had killed both of them, so I quickly made my way down to loot their bodies of the obviously high-grade military gear they were carrying. Darren had a sweet M4a1, tons of ammo, a map, a compass, food and drink (I simply carry canteens only, but whatever), a PDW, morphine, heat packs, a blood pack, a hatchet, and so forth... So, does it seem like I am simply unaware of the chat dynamic, or am I learning that people are idiots and would rather walk into their own deaths trying to avoid working with anyone? P.S., Darren's friend, I assume, logged back in and saw me making a break for it to the forest as I was receiving very inaccurate PDW fire from about the same direction Darren's body was. I managed to avoid it all and escaped into the woods. Nice job, chickenshit. You would have both been unharmed with a fair and gentlemanly trade. This game is UN REAL!
