  1. When playing DayZ I constantly receive the message "warning: illegal copies may degrade" I didn't think much of it and continued playing. It began to bug me so I looked online and found a video. ARMA 2 copy protection FADE: In this video the aiming is way off. In DayZ I have found my aiming to be horribly inaccurate. I thought it was just because of alpha. After seeing this video I think the copy protection or whatever thinks I have an illegal copy. If I right click the game in Steam it has an option to register. Do I need to register the game or what? Thanks for any help. My installation: I bought the steam version of combined operations 6 days ago. I installed the 94364 beta patch and made the @DayZ/Addons folder etc. To launch the game using beta and the mod I followed the DayZ install wiki. http://dayzwiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=How_to_install_DayZ 3. Go to the Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead directory (for example C:\Program Files (x86)\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead) and right-click -> edit on .cmd file "_runA2CO_beta.cmd". Search for ":run" near the end of the file. Add ";@dayz" without quotes to "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;EXPANSION;ca". 4. Run "_runA2CO_beta.cmd" and enjoy playing! ----edit---- Uninstalling the old beta. Verifying the game files. Installing the latest beta. Seems to have fixed it for now. Hopefully overtime I don't see the message pop up again. :)

    Beta Patch don't update anymore...

Locate the game in you Steam library. Right click it to open a drop down list. Select properties. A small window opens up. Select the local files tab towards the top of the window. Click the verify integrity of game cache... button. Let it scan and download any missing or changed files. Hope this helps. :)
