I loved the way DayZ used to be without 50. Cals, Thermals or hackers but wiping the hive should be done after the hackers / scripters are dealt with, doing it before that will wipe all the legit peoples hard work and then the hackers / scripters spawn everything back in and they just got off and have fun killing more bean coasters

AS50 and M107 should be removed, at the most they should be replaced with the KSVK or removed completely but the other snipers such as M24 and DMR should be hard to find and weapons such as the CZ 550 should be easier to find

This has came across me alot recently whille playing the DayZ map Fallujah, I've been running around looking for vehicle parts ( Mostly car wheels ) and I kept thinking "Why can't we find other vehicles that could be fixed up a bit and take the parts of it such as the car wheels or windscreen glass" ( I'm not sure about Engine Parts, Fuel tank parts or Fuel ) Maybe this could also be another use for the tool box? I don't know, what do you guys and girls think about this idea?

Exactly! It would make this game much better being able to do it, because you don't find alot of fixed cars around anyway, so getting the parts as well will also be annoying and what's the probability that every vehicle you come across is completely destroyed in a real zombie apocalypse?

Hello everyone, since I have had enough of the hackers / scripters and have seen what the private hives have ( such as custom scripts and custom weapons etc ) I took an interest in them, at the moment I'm looking for a good server near the UK which maybe has alot of vehicles, custom weapons or a custom script for the Chernarus map, can anyone recommend a server for me?

To be fair I wouldn't mind having a KSVK being the only powerful sniper, it's a 50. Cal but it is no way as powerful as the M107 and the AS50, I'm not sure on it's power but first of all it doesn't have zeroing, and I would like to see more LMG's like the PKM and others

Or if you're lucky try contacting the DayZ team and they can send you back to the coast, I don't know the probability but it's worth a try

Lee Enfield, I found this to be the most reliable and best starting rifle along with the Winchester

If you get lucky you will find morphine at the airfield or maybe you will come across someone to kill

Ok, here's the story I logged in to the server and instead of spawning at my base I spawn at the coast of Cherno ( Luckily ) So I run round the outskirts looking around with my Thermal checking the perimeter when I hear a helicopter, I instantly dive under a tree, I then slowly start crawling out into the field ( I was in a Ghillie Suit so I was confident to ) Then I see the helicopter fly in pointing it's light right on me, They take a while but they land and one guy gets out, then, the heli goes back up then the next thing I hear is "Heeeeeedge" in the direct communication, at this point I'm shitting myself, I aim in from fear of them killing me and shooting wildly. But the whole point of me was to say sorry to you guys for opening fire on you, I don't know if you were friendly or if you were bandits but I assumed with the option of safety and opened fire, Hopefully I didn't kill any of you.

The most I've found was 5 on a server I was running north from NW airfield down to Pustoshka and luckily found 5 down there, but got nothing special

It seems to happen that when I find Mountain Dew if I keep it on me I get very bad luck ( Die In about an hour from getting it ) But when I drink it my luck seems to be higher for me I normally find better loot from spawns, win in gun fights, survive by snipers and have better luck at finding vehicles and tents. Does anyone else have an opinion on if it's cursed or not? ( Kind of a pointless thread but I wanted to see what people would say )

Actually the AS50 TWS used to be available in the game ( Removed in the 1.5.x update, you can get it from either hackers obviously, old players or players that have either killed hackers or old players, And finding parts to make a thermal scope for the sniper rifle would be extremely hard, much harder than you would think

I just make a route from Vybor, to Kabanino then to Stary then back to Vybor to the airfield, I normally find a crashed helicopter, I rarely dont.

I guess your one of these people who just sit on "Sniper Hill" at Cherno or Elektro shooting noobs all the time I assume?
