Don't rely on your ability to play Arma 2 or Arma 2 OA. My friend can play these games just fine but has tremendous lag while playing the mod itself.

That^ A buddy of mine runs Arma 2 perfectly, when he hops on DayZ, it is nearly unplayable. I hope this is fixed.

Why not, instead of attempting and more than likely, failing, to govern a town, set up camp in a dense woodland area? Opposed to players coming to you, send out vehicles to supply and help people in need. I get that this is already an established movement among a few groups, and that you're trying to raise the bar, but with the current spawn rate of zombies and 'asshole bandits' I don't see this working.

NVG's can also be looted from the pilot of a crashed helicoptors, so after taking him out, try searching him.

He was a survivor. Otherwise you would have gotten a Bandit kill, and not a murder.

The mod is still in Alpha, and it stills trumps most fully released games or mods out there. You cant expect Rocket to make everyone happy. Personally, in the event of an apocolyptic world, I'd get together a mini army and set up some sort of base of operations, store gear, etc. As for your suggestion about Zombies, why don't we add the Tank from Left 4 Dead, eh?

In my opinion it is pointless to create a completely different problem while working on an already existing one. We want to eliminate the problems, not have the dev team code something in that will only bring in more issues.

If people prefer to play such a drab side of DayZ then so be it, let them have that. The only downside that I see with this is that people would go to a server where only Zombies are a threat, which, honestly, they aren't really that. They would go to the best loot locations and eventually have the best gear, etc. Then simply move over to a PVP server and use their high tech equipment to player kill those who actually have to work hard for their gear.
