  3. It is! We had some issues with a group who hacked ages ago and that was a real pity as it turned some players away. The regulars who play soon 'smell' if a group are cheating scum and alas it takes a while to get rid of them. We then go through all the shit of "we didn't hack, prove it" and a flame war starts. In the end one of the group admitted to me that they did hack in a pm. I built the server because I love DayZ and wanted to play, with like minded people who don't hack. I am the only admin now. I've invested nearly £800 on a years server hire, it's a quad core i5, in a data center with 100Mb up and down connection. Always looking for players who want to make it their home. Thats why GB Wireworld exists. It's a great place to play DayZ! Kind regards Mac
  4. Server News: I'm updating to released 1.7.7 at the 11:02pm GMT server restart tonight. Please re-install DayZ through DayZ Commander and use 1.7.7. There is no need to update using our old dayz.rar download system from now. Our server fixes will remain in place: Backpacks work as usual but loose all items on logout EXCEPT any weapons or Tools. (Stops the infinite backpack ammo log out glitch). Random Air Raids at key locations - If you hear a Siren, RUN! Dynamic Heli Crash Sites - Choppers fly in and explode every 30 - 40 mins AN2 Plane Cargo Drops every 45 mins Anti Combat log Penalty Script - If you Combat Log the next time you log in you are unconscious for 5 mins, bleeding and infected.   8. Ok, It's time! Just got the newest 1.7.7 from R4Z0R49 and I'm testing on my local server and updating our main Server for the 11pm GMT restart tonight. So far it all looks great! Vehicles and their damage systems are working just fine. Please remember that were running our own custom backpack ammo glitch fix, when you log out of the game you loose all backpack ammo and items EXCEPT guns and tools, (you keep your compass, axe, etc).   11. Guys, I've decided to implement my hacky backpack ammo glitch fix on the server for the next week. I want to see how it affects gameplay for us all. It's going to be interesting to loose the ability to put your ammo into a backpack, log out, log in and have full ammo. It should make ammo a real issue and you'll think twice about firing your gun from now. Weapons and any tools, (compass, GPS ect) are NOT affected by the fix, when you log out those items will still be in your backpack when you log back in. You can still use your backpack to store whatever you want while you play just as normal, the backpack is fully functional. it's only when you log out the items get destroyed/removed. Before i get flamed to bits about this change, lets just play with it for a week and see how it feels. Small and Medium Stashes now work and sandbags aren't too hard to find. All my other addons, dynamic chopper crash sites, random air raids, combat log penalty and AN2 cargo drops have been added back on the server for your pleasure.   13. Relax Infy, I was just testing that backpack idea out. I'm pissed off with players exploiting their ammo... I've just put the final pre-release 1.7.7 on the server and it's totally vanilla with no changes from me, so your back packs work again as intended. Its the final build that R4ZOR49 is waiting to hear from Rocket if it's ok to release. Checkout the changelog in our first post... So if you want to have a look at the real 1.7.7 before it's officially released now is the time to get back on our Server. Hope you come back, if not, It was nice to play with you all. Never thought I'd say this but I'm going to miss the Germans :P Kind regards Mac The last build wasn't much fun to play, I'd agree with that. This build has no crafting items so no more of those and good riddance
  14. Server News: June 3rd. 50 Vehicle Spawns. (up from 42) Backpacks work as normal during play but they loose ALL items (except guns) on player logout - (anti Infinite ammo backpack glitch fix). Server runs Full moon Nights from 8pm - 5am - no more pitch black play. Enjoy Mac

  20. Server News: Combat Loggers get a penalty on re-log - Unconscious for 5 mins plus bleeding - doesn't kill you but leaves you on about 100 blood! Kind regards Mac

  22. New Server Setup: Helicopters and Planes have been removed from the Server to encourage base building BUT every 2 weeks I will spawn a chopper in. Animated Crash sites - Choppers actually fly in and crash to the ground! Air Raid Surprise Event every Hour (You'll know when its going to happen) Knockout Script has been added - You can knockout other players! (removed due to bugs :() JSRS Sound Mod 1.5 is now allowed on the server Full Moon Nights with 1.7.7 NVG's will be removed from the game soon (not yet) with 1.7.7 Restarts are every 5 hours, Timezone is GMT -2 35 Player Server Side Channel is enabled. 64 slot Teamspeak 3 Server. Tents no longer removed after death 42 Vehicle Spawns. Enjoy, Mac
