I like bows :) I am armed to the teeth with all secondary weapons, a primary but mostly kill zeds with the axe, as a shot alerts so many zeds that it became more or less useless. Guns only server to kill other players. But if it's like in the mod, not enough arrows and you can't pick them up often enough.

Still that guy with the (possibly temporarily) patchy internet connection joining the clan server might get a long waiting time. You would then need to add proximity infos between IDs. Aka Id 1234 is often close to ID 4321 and 3241 an 2314 etc... So they need probably another server farm just for pattern and anomaly detection :)

This will never be real life. First the zombie part should be looked at, so they don't walk like 3rd generation zoo animal baboons fed on corn starch wearing 4 week old nappies. Then maybe 20 years later on the latest 500 core servers, one can add a perfect species, gender and age dependent hunting simulator reacting to different weapons, wind, weather, bullet channels, hit zones and whatever else.

Constantly getting kicked cause of BattleEye didnt update. Since yesterday night. Didn;t change anything.

I had a case where I sank died under water but couldnt respawn . Relogged in sank died, no respawn and so on. Had also a broken leg, so tried to die ... In this undead state I had no char on the loading screen

The problem would be solved if someone bit by a zombie would become a zombie until s|he bites another survivor. More aggressive intelligent zombies, that can't go through walls, a touch of L4D without a tank though. I am not entirely sure why a collision detection is too expensive. They stop at fences and have some form of line of sight. or if floor == woodplank then no good.

Gas masks are mandatory, too many lactose intolerant nerds on these servers. ;)

If you see Bohemia as a business it makes sense to sell the engine with the least amount of effort they can get away with. A grand vision of a game (or whatever Rocket has in his head) might not be commercially viable and if he wants to realise his vision he is gonna have to do it on his own. So that seems to be what he is doing. Case solved. ;) In a similar vein, we could probably have the perfect car today that holds longer than a couple of years. But I guess that would probably cause a lot of unemployed people clogging up the benefit system. Sometimes perfection isn't perfection .. Life sucks and it's not getting any better soon.

"You are dead" ... What killed me? The Tree A zombie or player (server had about 7 player on) When I logged out before this happened I was not involved in a fight, no zombies were near and I moved on this server to that position from http://dayzdb.com/map/chernarusplus#7.018.032 looted and exited peacefully.

Sure, but does the log in person see it? See the thread as trying to gather information about that. Aka would these people just arrived dead. That's really the key information I am looking for. At minimum you would expect to hear aka the zombie hack scream, a hack from an axe or a shot. A silent death could be a tree.
