If the hack is lame and uninventive mark them down. A dumbster and looser will always only copy or buy a hack ..

The point is simple, make it easy for good guys (players) to do something about hackers. I's not perfect, but like the votekick in l4d, you can get rid of people .. community policing .. 70% of players on a server report a hacker, your char is reinstated. Hacking is reported outside arma..

Sure .. but the joy in hacking is that you are special, take away that privilege and it becomes boring ,,,,

No :) But either you let them run and take away their power ... enable all players to nuke the server ,,, OR anyone detected gets their harddrive wiped :) Since the penalty for hacking is harder on the players the punishment should be upped ..

The problem with Dayz is though what makes the mod good, ie the higher penalty of death in loosing all your gear makes hacking also worse, than the occasional wall hacker.. You don't just loose 4 minutes of game play. The whole Yin and Yang thingy.. with positives come negatives ..

I listened to it. It was kinda funny as sidestrafe did a video to underlie the interview where the whole server was killed by a hacker ... I heard now enough interviews .. sandbox and all that ..

Since you have your own server. Put into the mode that shows where you are on the map and die and who ever gets the farthest north without eating or drinking wins. Screen cap or video as proof. Since you have a clan get a heli two gunners and do above with the heli shooting at the runners ... Not noobs, people that know they will be shot at.

Write your memoires. :) Arrange hatchet wars for gear. Wirefence the whole beach into a funnel. Escort newspawns to the airfield . Arrange atv races Collect the most zeds after you to the beach Create a raw meat mountain. Create a maze with a tent in it ...

Try a server that restarts more often. I was on this one server were all the deerstands had high grade (not highest) military gear. First time i ever had anything it was a crowbar and i didnt know that it needed reloading and i was throwing flares attracted zeds, died. Then when i thought i got it, i was sniped and then stalked by some guy and killed. Then comes the killed by doors phase. Last death was moreorless voluntarily as i tried to be friendly .. Hehe Just ALWAYS watch your arse. People can spawn anywhere, so only cause you checked there doesnt mean its safe.

Food is random sometimes I found millions of cokes and pepsies now I have too much food. Kill zeds and hope for the best.. Your first challenge is to maintain food and drink..

Everytime I logged in and got teleported and leg broken and all stuff away.. I log out and try the next server and it's back. But I am not sure if that's a normal bug or hacking ...

But if everyone is in a group, it either doesn't matter or becomes a number game. Or everone is pals with everyone. Desirable in real life, maybe, but not in a apocalyptic mod. If I want to play boring shite, i can do the FB farmyard bloerb. Groups are an advantage if most play lone wolf style.

I don't want a nice world in dayz. Being nice would devalue. The world would be less scary. It makes the game that you have to deal with arseholes. Arsehole hoarders, arsehole snipers, clan sissies and so on. :)

Pro: Banditry might get less. Contra: Without Banditry the game would be not scary and if the high powered weapons are useless, the low weapon murders (due to enough ammo) on the coast will get worse which is then pro again, as I can collect shit in the North.
