I logged in once bleeding after having not been hit, only realised when I was getting blurry, since I didn't suspect anything, I didn't look for it. View went blurry until i managed to get me bandaged. Shot 25 zombies to get food to get me up again. but died at least a glorious death. :) (I wasn't hungry before!) But also had the reverse happening. After a logout 10 - 15 minutes after a Z hit that had me down to 118xx I came back as 12000. I did not dc Maybe a server catching, Hive caching issue. I also had binos being in my inventory but not visible. I could use them though.

Mine happened on LU42, ASAP I relogged on somewhere else it was all there again. I think it was the first logon that day. The server had also recently I guess adapted 1.7.3 as it wasn't there a day before. I had a bike on it, so I kinda cared and hence noticed the server. :D

Now I would have said it's exactly the opposite. That's why people complain. Bandit and new spawners can try to avoid contact. Most other FPS games including ARMA want you to engage other players. Here you have a choice. That is what people are upset about/ Realising that the amount of arseholes on this planet is higher than anticipated and that your only choice to survive as a lone wolf is to turn into a psychopath yourself. You don't have to grief but discussing with anyone with a gun makes you weak. Equally in real life, people that attack you verbally or by bullying are put into the driving seat. This game teaches you also why communism doesn't work. Anyone that breaks the contract of cooperation is automatically put into control. Real life coop works by sanctions, laws, without laws and sanctions this would be the true state of humanity. -

I wonder if European countries, like the UK, with low gun density would do better than countries, like the US, with high gun density in a real apocalypse if the Zeds where reasonably easy to deal with. Killing with melee weapons would increase the risk for the bandit type person. -

Logged on, it said I died, then I was in debug field then at last position alone in a forest w/o any gear whatsovere no back pack nothing. Logged in another server it was all there. But I was loosing blood. Since I wasn't hit before I only realised when the screen started to blur out,. Decided to die in a Zombie battle ...Couldnt be arsed to get enough health w/o matches.

I haven't modded since the original OFP, but as far as I understood it, the Infected are animals. In the distant past it was possible to attach also the behaviour of a tank to a Deer Model, I got from Bohemia. So soldiers were exiting the Deers like tanks. So I think what you see in the zombies is largely an adapted animal behaviour and not a AI routine that has been specifically designed to do Infected behavior. That's what mod means. I am not sure if Bohemia meanwhile let him access the real AI routines though. -

If your target audience is largely male gamers from 5 - 55 who like to blast each other virtual bullets in the head and annoy others with wires and soon bear traps, in a totally anti design game, what do you expect? You get a cross section of people from nice to arseholey. Ultimately corporate relations waffle has developed to deal with the ugly masses. Community relations managers make sense to deal with us. A Mod can't deliver this and will get stressful for the creator with such a large audience. -

Success is stressful .. http://www.nytimes.c...e/15baboon.html Rocket needs to know his exit strategy, so this mod will be a success on his CV. Personally I love it, even when I am frustrated sometimes. With so many player it is already a success. It made money for BI, they will see it as a success, I hope. The whole alpha thing might get problematic, as some might hope that something imaginary in their head might pop up and the ones that like it as it, will not like changes. On the plus side, each new update gets you a newish game. :thumbsup: I think normal companies go for polls and statistics, to decide what the majority of customers want. :) -

I like the idea of clearing out. That's what would happen. Magically teleporting Star Trek Infected with homing devices is a bit funny. -
It's actually a bit easier now. Crouch at night and you will be mostly safe. But it is different than 1.7.1m had to get used to it myself. :)

Just luck as I ran into a hoard. Second vehicle I got access to. It's the best silent and can drive at 30 mph through woods and fields. One was a bus I found with not enough fuel. -

Military carpet bombing infected areas would be realistic and add another twist. I am all for planes with surface to ground bombs and missiles. :D And strafing low speed aircrafts would be cool.
