I have no way to stop it, hence that comment is meaningless. Look around you, do you trust these people? lol .. In my gaming community there is a guy that just wears female clothes to make it more humiliating in his infantile mind to kill people. He also hoards and waffles constantly about the gear he has .. It's the equivalent of not installing a virus checker, cause people should be good. It's bogus. -

Well in the moment it's simple Prisoner's dilemma http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prisoner's_dilemma But the trade off is a restart with no gear, so the logic answer to survival is kill always first, which is the optimal strategy to maximise survival. More coop will only come if either the reward is HUGE or the penalty is less. -

Imo it would be a simple feedback loop depending on how bad it would be. Fear and hunger can make people kill. While interestingly in war soldiers do not want to shoot. Read the psychology of killing http://www.military-sf.com/Killing.htm In ww2 only 15 to 20 % actually shot to kill But the psychos were called the heros. Both parts of humanity exist. -

That's why we are tribal. As an evolutionary ecologist I would guess like in this game you would have both strategies. It means the experience works, you care about stuff. The more people care about not being killed, getting their priced Megablaster gun taken away, the more emotionally attached they are and the bigger the reaction will be. -

Well ... in most FPS games you kill other players for f&ck all but maybe a semi. So at least you get loot here and if you don't want to shoot don't.. Scripting came after Half Life, now we are back full circle.. In Space[Kings]Quest you had to type words and spell them correctly.. shocker. :| Eventually all games get boring, that's how it is. It's been a long time since I had nearly a cardiac cause a thunder went off in Game, lol. The best horror movies where the ones that made you imagine what will happen. Scanning the horizon to spot snipers. The ARMA bugs suck and eventually, i will also get bored. That's life. Well and you wouldn't post here so frustrated if your kit gets lost, cause it IS annoying. It's cruel and it sucks. And that's cool, it's supposed to be like that. :D The map size is cool, because you can avoid people, but suddenly you run into someone and it's all over.

Nothing, I also turned off the warning music. The only game that ever had cool music was Battlefield Vietnam.. -
Enfield. 1 kill 500m 1 kill on short range short after that. The guy dced and then popped up right in front of my nose lol Shotgun needed 2 shots to get a bandit kill and the fucker could still wound me and my pal had to do a transfusion. But i think Arma clips any rifle on close range through zeds, so switch to pistol to clear off the aggroed zeds if running isn't an option. I think 'i died 5 times by trying to point blank with rifles any zeds. Doesn't do a fucking thing.

But as soon as meaningful game design comes in the experiment fails everywhere. Most studios ty game design. The UNique selling point is a big mess, do what you want, here are some toys, be your own game designer. Facebook or twitter for the gamer. -

1.) The players are not humanity, it's a subset of humanity that are used to DM games 2.) I hate zombie respawns around me, teleporting i bs 3.) Sniping is idiotic if the gear is in a dangerous location, survivors wouldn't do it. 4,) Drawback to kill should be ammo wastage. Simple. 5.) hungry after 20 minutes, a joke, 2 weeks is more realistic. 6.) Humans are tribal, and real death as a sanction would minimise killing for fun 7.) Give people Arma and they will tend to play arma w/o tribes.. I like the pvp aspect and grieving grievers is even more fun, or dehoard hoarders :D Personally I don't see what the problem is, you can avoid pvp, mostly. And occasionally you can't. But we need more non grieving toys. Stuff that allows teams to be teams. But then we will play Arma, with zeds thrown in. Hmm .. Difficult .. There is no solution, just a big mess, which is cool, that's what people find interesting, the non scripted mess, imo.
