The point of an Alpha is to test a game and report bugs, not bitch and cry like a little spoiled prat because it isn't up to par with a release game. Complaining about something during an Alpha is pointless when it is constructive criticism that is needed. You would do well to understand this before making more posts telling people what to do.

I am just going to come out and say that this is by far the biggest bug in the game for me. I cannot describe how annoying it really is to hear some mouth-breather constantly eating his microphone or some random buy babbling about one stupid thing or another or even the constant screaming and yelling from immature morons when you are trying to listen to what is going on around you. It happens in every server and usually goes away after a time. Muting every player on the server doesn't fix the issue so it is obviously bigger than that. The reason I make this post is because I feel that this should be made a high priority fix and addressed immediately. Hopefully it already is. Does anybody agree? After that, zombies pushing you through walls only to get you stuck inside a building...

ArmA 2 is not DayZ. It's ArmA 2. A different game by the same company. You may have purchased ArmA 2 with the sole intent of playing the DayZ mod but unfortunately there is no way for them to tell who bought it for that purpose and who didn't. Either way...it's a different game and they deserve the money to fund the game and improve it. DayZ is well worth the $30. ArmA 2 by itself is also more than worth anything you paid for it and you can still play the mod in ArmA 2 which you will likely do when you tire of the bugs in DayZ SA.

Does it actually work like that? I didn't have a chance to test it but I turned VOIP all the way down. My problem is if this turns off direct comms then it's a real problem. If direct comms still works with the VOIP bar all the way down then it's no big deal.

I have had to have the can opener or whatever I am using to open the can in my hand for it to work as well...

I like the idea of missions in the map that would encourage PVP encounters but this idea wouldn't work for many obvious reasons. First and foremost being, why in the hell would I want a supply drop from a plane instead of a rescue?

I want to know what other people think about being able to take shirt rags to hold them in your hand and have an animation that would wave it like a white flag indicating that you are friendly or surrender?

I see your point. Can you walk while having your hands up in the surrender action? My original thought was to be able to have the item in hand and as you press "F" to bring it up like you would your weapon you could instead hold it over your head while you walk towards someone.

Dean was also once heard saying that the Alpha would release approximately around December of 2012. So we can expect cars somewhere around the beginning of 2015? Seriously people...I doubt the devs even really know when they will be able to get them in the game. Making wild guesses isn't going to make it happen any sooner.

Last night I was killed in NW Airport. After I respawned in Balota I headed to Balota Airfield to quickly gear up and move on. Ran into 3 guys with axes. I had a pipewrench. They laughed at me and said... "Yo foo, you don't want to mess with us." I said..."Bring it. I have nothing to lose." So they brought it, all 3 of them died due to my luck and their bad aim. As soon as it was over another guy came running down the road at me and says... "Dude did all 3 of these N****** attack you?" (N word, yes all their characters were actually black in skin color.) "Yes they did." He says "F*** N******. Kill em all!" At which point I turned around and nailed him with the firemans axe I looted from one of the corpses. As I did I said "Racism sucks dude!". He of course says "F*** you N***** lover!" while I was looting his corpse of all of his gear including a 300 round box full of ammo, 2 double sided 30 rnd stanag clips and his rifle that had some nice mods all in pristine condition as well as his pack and clothes. I said "Thanks for the gear." and moved on. The lesson? Racism sucks.

The attitude of shoot first, ask questions later will always exist. You simply can't trust anybody to NOT shoot you and therefor if you wish to survive, you have to shoot them. It's just an unfortunate fact. I usually start out each day by being nice and not killing people when I have the opportunity. I always end up regretting it by getting killed by the very person I spared. From then on out it is kill or be killed.

I started one up without the matches. Just put the assembled stove on the ground, hover over it with your cursor and use the menu to "Turn On" the stove. It makes a pretty blue flame but couldn't figure out what it did past that. Didn't even emit light...

The rabbits are rendered client side. If you see one, it's likely nobody else will. And yes...they make zombie noises on occasion too. I verified this just last night.

A buddy and I noticed that we kept hearing random zombies that didn't exist. Eventually I came upon a lonely rabbit that made a zombie grunt at me when I passed. Thought I couldn't possibly be correct about that so I found some more rabbits. 3 out of 5 rabbits made zombie sounds! So um...should that one be fixed? lol

You are basically paying half price to be able to play the game now in it's buggy state in the hopes that you will submit bug reports for them to fix and so they can test on their end and improve the game. When the game goes into Beta, it will cost more and when it releases fully it will cost more again. So you pay a lot less and get the game now instead of later. How is this unbelievable? Most companies do exactly this all the time and it works.

"It will be done when it is done." I guess we will never see the game then since no game is ever "done".
