Honestly I would have no problem with all of this if I could easily use my hatchet to kill zombies without having to drop my primary weapon on the ground or move it to my backpack. Hatchet should also have a larger hit area. Right now it is an extremely close range silenced pistol. Really the fact that melee is in ArmA at all is a miracle but I wonder if there is a way to make the hatchet actually have an arc of damage so you don't have to be so ridiculously precise with it.

These zombies are aggroing from several hundred meters away. While I like the new challenge...its a bit insane. I want to see more zombies in the towns...not zombies that aggro from 5 miles away and respawn immediately effectively swarming you to no end. Besides that, the graphical glitch with the dead NPC military characters is making the game unplayable.

Yeah...this is absolutely unplayable in any place that has a dead military NPC. The razorwire issue was one thing...this is full retard.

Bullshit. Period. Follow the rules. If Rocket wanted something as unconfirmable as combat logging to be a bannable offense he would say so. As it is he has not. You cannot prove that a player logged during combat and didn't just lose connection or otherwise. Rocket also stated that he would fix the problem. What he did not state is that people can be banned for it. You may say it's out of context but you are breaking the rules and putting words in Rockets mouth. Show me the post where Rocket states players can be banned for exploiting. Go ahead...I will wait.

Combat logging is not a bannable offense. Player should be unbanned regardless of what the admin thinks or how he feels. Fail. He just admitted that the OP was banned for a non-bannable offense.

Yeah...I am pretty sure that "Asshat" is not one of the bannable offenses. Funny how he bans you calling you an asshat when the act of him banning you when he knows he isn't allowed to makes him an asshat. BLACKLIST EM! RAWR!!! Just another admin who thinks they are special and above the rules.

I don't understand why people think the players need to provide screenshots. First off...ArmA doesn't support screenshots at all. You have to use a 3rd party program like Fraps just to do that. It is unreasonable to require a player to do this. Now the server admin doing the banning on the other hand should have sufficient proof to back up the ban. -
So...I logged on today after work and my game is artifacting to all hell after the update. It actually seems to be the unlootable dead military corpses around the destroyed hummers and whatnot...NorthWest Airfield is a disaster...Stary is a nightmare as well...it's impossible to see at all. Updating drivers for my 560 Ti right now to see if that fixes it.

Yes...get a toolbox...track down every installed barbed wire fence and take it down. Or ask Rocket to kindly remove said barbed wire until it is fixed.

Excuse me? lol. If you are in a safe location to log out then it should not be an issue if your character is in game for another minute or not. Setting a time delay is really the only way to resolve the abort and Alt-F4 abusing issue anyway. So unfortunately you are out of luck on that one. Timer will eventually be increased. I guarantee that much. 5 seconds does absolutely nothing to the issue in reality. Question is, when the issue is fixed, what will it be increased to?

Yes...people say things. They may say I am wrong but I say they are wrong. I speak from experience. I was banned by Battleye back in the day and when I contacted Battleye about it they told me it was for using Mumble and having the overlay turned on. Shit happens. -

I can tell you that Battleye is a fairly crappy program when it comes to detecting which overlay applications are good and which are hacks. In fact it pretty much detects any overlay as a hack. It's a problem that may or may not crop up for TS users, Mumble users, Fraps users as well as other commonly used applications. If you are sincere in your statement of never using a hack and it is just TS then Battleye support can unban you and get this resolved. If not then they will tell you where to shove it and you can buy another copy of ArmA. Pretty much that simple. Good luck! -

DayZ staff can do nothing about Gloabal Bans. They also can't do anything about Global Bans. Either way...you want to contact Battleye about this. -
Understanding that there is a limitation due to issues with the client... 1 minute...MINIMUM. While 5 seconds is absolutely not enough, it's a start. Is it possible that creating a log in timer would correct the character duplication issue? Make it so if you abort then you cannot reconnect for 2 minutes?

I am looking into setting up Fraps myself today. Gonna start recording events...I have been running into some shady admins recently. Usually just resetting the server after I kill them and take their stuff but still...
