It also seems to be a requirement now that you post your ban's and kicks with evidence. Seems that the devs are giving Admins a little more latitude but at the same time cracking down on the abusers. -
Rules seem to have been updated... You are not permitted to ban for suspected cheats or exploits of a non-server-disruptive nature, including but not limited to ghosting, unverified cheating, duping and similar, UNLESS you have solid evidence, IE logs. I would say it falls easily under racism to have a name that ties to "Hitler" or "Nazi". Then again I work in a company where one of our clients is a guy who legitimately has the last name "Hitler"...so you never know I guess.

Your image doesn't exactly prove anything but it is up to the admin to prove you were cheating anyway. Regardless, the ban should be lifted as hacking/cheating is not a bannable offense without DayZ dev approval first.

"Suspected" anything is not a bannable offense. Proof of the cheating or no ban. This is admin abuse. -
OP openly admitted to hacking right there... Hacking is not a bannable offense however...at least not without proof and it is up to the DayZ devs to decide if someone is banned for hacking. An admin witnessing something strange, even if it is a death by Makarov is not proof. Screens and Video are proof.

So...uh...banning for having a hacked item or hacking isn't allowed. Submit the info to the DayZ devs and let them handle it or wait for Battleye to do the banning automatically. Quit breaking the rules. OP...quit being an asshat hacker and get a life. Although it is possible that he simply picked up the hacked weapon on another server. It happens and is not a bannable offense. Probably more prudent to prove that he spawned a bike. -

No...we expect the admin banning players to provide proof of the ban reason and follow the rules. So far I have seen evidence from the accused that they are innocent but absolutely no evidence from the admin to prove the accused was cheating. Oh...also...banning for hacking isn't allowed. Admin should be submitting his proof to the DayZ devs to let them handle it. -

Not sure if this is allowed by admins or not. Pretty sure not... Trying to log onto US1298 at 9:00 pm Mountain Time. I keep getting kicked with a message that states they are "testing". There are only two players in the server currently. "jim" and "{ORGY} G-ski". I doubt "testing" is a reason to be allowed to kick players as it is likely they are just cheating to get all the good gear on the server. Why can't they do their "testing" with other players connected to it? Shady dealings...

If i buy a new copy of arma 2, will i still be banned?

You do need to clean your registry as well when you install the new copy of the game and register your new key. Otherwise ArmA will be loading up using the original key. I have never been stupid enough to cheat and get banned for anything on any game. I have done stupid things in the past though. Thankfully nothing I will every say I regret doing...but stupid things none the less. I think the ignorance being portrayed by most of the people in this thread is rather pathetic. If one can own up to his mistakes and pay for them then I say good on him and let him start with a clean slate. If he gets banned again...fuck him. -
Sure they can and sure they will but they will be breaking the devs rules and eventually blacklisted for it.

Seems the admins of this server are unable to follow the rules set forth by the DayZ devs as there is another thread on this page already about roughly the same thing. Hacking isn't a bannable offense by the admin right now. Battleye takes care of that or you get reported to the devs and they look into it and issue the ban.

Of course you haven't read anything where Rocket has said you can't ban hackers...because he didn't say that. What he did say was that there are only two reasons to ban someone. Malicious talk and racism. Neither of those look like hacking to me. Learn to read. Stop breaking the rules because you think you know better. You aren't special.

If the admin wants to ban players then he should reply in all the threads for people he is banning.

Yes...I am serious. Rules are there for a reason. I admins are allowed to ban for hacking then abusive admins will start banning every player they don't like for hacking without proof. This is why the DayZ devs want to review things first. Report them as the devs have requested and then if they deserve a ban they will get one. I am not saying they don't deserve bans. Based on the logs (assuming they are not fabricated as there is no way to tell when shit is copy/pasted.) I would say the hacker needs a global ban and the OP who was asking for hacked items needs a temp global ban. But that is not for myself or the server admin to decide...its up to the DayZ staff.
