The fail of this OP deserves a double facepalm. I would go find the Riker/Picard pic but this thread has about taken up all of my attention that it deserves.

Pretty certain that BIS has stated the ArmA 3 engine is completely rewritten from the ground up and not based off the previous engines. Also...DX11 and so called "eye-candy" is just another major reason to go with the ArmA 3 engine. You may say graphics aren't everything but I say I didn't build my gaming rig to play last years games.

Someone told me that they read a thread where Rocket stated that he no longer cares if an Admin bans or kicks players from a server for whatever reason because he is sick of the whining going on in the forums. Well...been doing a lot of reading and I have yet to find this thread or comment anywhere. Looking for either a confirmation of this post or thread by Rocket or a re-confirmation of the current rules that Admins are required to abide by. I have seen no change on the threads that state rules admins must follow. Thanks in advance.

I truly hope that is the case. I honestly think my friend is trying to find an excuse to justify his actions as he happens to be an admin. I have yet to get a server and won't for a bit but rules are rules and they need to be followed.

I will keep playing and just won't use tents or depend on vehicles. My problem is fixed. How about yours?

So...NOT going to use the ArmA 3 engine? That just seems like a really bad idea. Unless you can create the features of ArmA 3 into ArmA 2. There are just so many things coming with ArmA 3 that just NEED to be in DayZ. Gun customizations to start...

Look...this is getting stupid as fuck. If they can't fix the graphical glitches then remove the items causing the problem. Right now the barbed wire fencing issue seems to be fixed. I don't know anybody getting graphical artifacts from those any more. Current issue is caused by the dead soldiers lying around Humvee's and military complexes. Remove the dead soldiers from the map until the issue is verified as fixed. Simple as that. Right now I am going to start playing on Lingor since that map doesn't seem to have any problems. All of the fixes being suggested for this do not work for everybody and you can bet I am not going to bother flushing 6 times and restarting just to fix it for 5 minutes before getting it again. Screw that...im glad to find bugs and help with fixes but this is getting downright idiotic.

It feels like power tripping. At least in my case. I made a thread...it got merged...fine...but it was merged into "Off Topic" and the forum moderator that moved it left a nice little nasty comment about not doing a search beforehand and threatening warnings in the future. Well...first off...Off Topic? Really? Still talking about DayZ here...it is very much ON topic. Secondly. Assuming I didn't try using the search feature before making a post is asinine. I did search. I got a crap load of threads that had nothing to do with with the search word I used of "Lingor". Finally...threatening warnings for making a new thread? That is a power trip.

Sure sure...do a search yourself using just the word Lingor. Tell me how many pages you get and where this thread is. This is primarily to the devs. I really feel that adding Lingor Island officially to the DayZ mod can only help this game. I don't know what it would take to make that happen but honestly the map looks a lot better than Chernarus for our little "Infected Apocalypse". I don't want to start picking through all the reasons why it just looks like a better map to me but can it hurt to have some diversity in the maps? Perhaps a separate hive server for each map that is made so you can't take gear from one map to the other? Just my 2 cents for what they are worth. Anybody else agree?

Lingor Island SHOULD be supported. I haven't even played it yet but judging from the videos I have seen it is already a much better map. At least most if not all the buildings are able to be entered.

I think it needs a "Whiny little bitch." filter that bans players immediately when they make whiny, ignorant and presumptuous forum threads.
