What the heck is that supposed to mean?

Seems like these admins are pretty asinine. I can't wait to see if the admins of that server reply in this thread. Though I suppose proving this is pretty easy. We should all log into that server and their TS and ask why they ban people with no reason or proof. Maybe ill try that myself tonight.

So you have no proof that they hacked the items in but claim that they must have since they had all this gear. How do you know they didn't move it in from another server? That screenshot is not proof of hacked items. Seems to me that you banned people with no proof of a bannable offense. Also..."wander" and "wonder" are two different words with two different meanings.

At some point it is up to the server admins to say why they banned you and prove that you commited a bannable offense. If they can't do that...they should unban you. Crazy shit story aside...that is your only saving grace right now. In all honesty it is probably better that you just suck it up and find a new server anyway. You aren't going to get your stuff off their server. You aren't the first nor the last to lose stuff. It's just stuff.

Holy crap...this has to be the most annoying thing in this game. No matter where I try I get the message stating I have to be on flat ground with no objects nearby. Seriously...I have pitched a tent on a slight slope before. I have also piched a tent between two trees... This one is a little ubsurd. I do hope it is not intended to be like this permanantly. Oh...I also just got hit by a zombe that broke my leg while I was at full health. Though this was fixed...no? Ok then...

This is alpha testing...technically you are here to test the game and find bugs.

When I do I will post it up on the forums. Might be a couple more months...getting finances in order after a job change.

Dang admins anyway. If or when I get my own server to host I would hope that reading all these threads would make sure I don't follow the same mistakes. Well...I know I won't. I have never had a problem with managing a server properly and following rules. If you don't like someone...kill em and take their stuff.

Yes...I am sure every hacker that is banned goes and pays another 30 bucks just so they can come back and hack some more and get banned again.

Last I checked, (I am an ArmA vet) the waypoints as well as markers that you place on a map can be seen by everybody that is in the same chat/voice channel as you. So if you are in "group" and you make a mark on the map of any kind then everybody in "group" can see that. Same goes for direct comms and vehicle. I could be wrong on that when it comes to waypoints...never really used them myself as they were usually pretty useless to me in function. In reading that others say it should not be viewable unless cheating, I will test it when I get home. In case nobody has figured this out yet...it's not so obvious...you can delete marks on the map by simply hovering over the mark and pressing the delete key on your keyboard.

Agreed...you guys are being jerks to the guy. He got caught hacking and bought a new copy so he could keep playing. There is NOTHING wrong with that.

It's a slang word used by just about every black man under the sun as a term of friendship or endearment. Just because it derived from a racist word and is similar to said racist word does not make the word itself racist. It IS up to interpretation and everybody will have a differing opinion. But therin lies the problem. Personally I think anything like this that can be left up to interpretation is a bad thing to ban for. Unless it is concrete and absolutely a ban offense with no room for interpretation or debate...don't ban. At the end of the day the OP should just find another server as he stated he will. That is not to say the admins of the server should be allowed to abuse power. This thread alone will let a lot of players know that they don't want to join that server. I for one won't.

Ok...english clearly not your first language. That's fine. You are being accused of abusing power for banning someone without a legitimate reason. Burden of proof is on you to show that he was logging off and logging back on during combat. Proof is in the logs. Let's see em.

You weren't banned by Battleye for hacking. You were banned by the admin because he didn't like you and he tried to make it look like it was a hacking ban from Battleye. I also agree with the sentiment that some of the DayZ Community Support guys are sticking up for bad admins and it is hurting the game. That needs to stop. I don't give two shits how much someone pays for a server. That does not give them the right to break the rules and abuse priveledges. I will show them respect when they earn the respect. Paying money doesn't earn respect. I also don't play this game for free. I paid for it. This is a mod that is currently free because it is in Alpha. Telling the players to "Harden the Fuck Up" is not only ignorant to say but also shows your lack of dedication to properly moderate and enforce rules that were put in place by the creator of this game. It also places blame on the players that are legitimately trying to keep this game fun from admins that are abusing power.

That's hardly a racist remark. Not your choice to make. You are allowed to ban for racism but not for slang. This is slang...clear as day. This statement alone makes it clear that you were simply looking for any reason to ban him just because you didn't like him. The ban was not for violating any stated rule that you are allowed to ban for. You simply wanted to ban him and looked for the simplest thing you could use to do so. I hope your server is blacklisted for this.

Never said anything about replacing a backpack. That would be stupid. Kevlar vests don't stop working after a couple of shots. I know this from experience. Yes...with enough hits it would stop being anywhere near as effective but the idea still holds. It should just be an item you right click on in inventory and then add to armor or something. Just like food or soda...it just adds points to an armor meter or something and the armor itself has some sort of set effect to help protect you.

I love that axe... The other day there was a guy crawling down the street with a pack of zombies behind him. I ran up to him and axed him once and let the zombies finish him off while I ran away and watched the show from a distance. lol
