The fall distance in the game is a little of...ok...a lot off. It's really an ArmA issue...not sure if it can be changed for DayZ or not.

Yes it can. It is just a microphone headset. So long as your PC has the correct input jack for the headset.

So wait...are you saying that you set the max ping to 60 specifically to keep Russians out of your server because you can't understand them? I just don't know what to say anymore. The line above that also clearly states that you cannot kick due to race or language. Setting your ping kick too low based on what you said in your post is clearly to get around this. The line above that states clearly the only two reasons for issuing a ban. Your reason for banning is not one of them. Rules are not there to be broken.

Anything below 200ms is acceptable in my opinion. I will repeat this again..."One persons ping in NO WAY effects the performance of the server or any other players ping.". Ping is simply a calculation of the amount of time it takes information to travel from the players PC to the server and back. Your ping only effects YOUR connection to the server and how fast you send and receive information. This shit pisses me off. I don't give a fuck who pays for the server. You are still required to follow the rules set forth by the devs of DayZ. Period. A 60 ms ping requirement is ridiculous. Above 60 is not a high ping and not only is banning for a high ping or trying to reconnect not allowed but Rocket stated specifically that an admin could kick for something like a high ping and even gave an example of over 200. 60 is NOT high. 78 is NOT high. 130 isn't even high.

So where under "malicious talk or racism" does reconnecting to the server repeatedly fall under? Those are the only two reasons you are allowed to ban for. Your high ping kick setting is still ridiculous and I doubt anybody will see things your way.

I think you know damned well that a ping of 60 is a ridiculous requirement as most if not all players will reach above that number frequently on ANY server. I also call bullshit on you since the ping of one player does not adversly effect server performance or the connection of any other player. Try learning a few things about networking before you talk. The only reason to kick someone for high ping is if that high ping causes that player to skip around the map or makes them act funny on the server. Not even a ping of 150 will do that. 78 isn't a high ping. He has no grounds to ban you.

lol...I know admins can kick for high ping but I don't think the devs thought an admin would actually have the gall to set the ping limit to 60. Also..."reconnecting the whole time" is not a bannable offense. Just because you are in Germany does not mean other players from other countries shouldn't be able to join. I have played games with people over 150 ping and it worked just fine. I hope a dev looks at this and sets you straight with your server moderation.

I feel like this thread has not gone on long enough. I know everybody involved in this incedent has asked to drop it and has moved on but, seriously...I, like so many others in this thread just feel the need to keep dragging this through the mud. Only because it feels like the devs are either too busy working on other things or just don't care to enforce their rules on the admins anymore. At this point it seems like these threads only serve to inform other players of what servers to avoid.

If you wish to go as far as to get the server blacklisted then report them to a dev or forum moderator. Frankly you would be better off just moving on at this point and finding a better server as I can't imagine why you would want to go back and play with asshat admins.

I would say that "Aborting" or "Alt-F4" during combat is shady, underhanded and as stated before an exploit but an admin has no way of ever proving that the player did so intentionally as "shit happens". Since Rocket has not yet stated it as a bannable offense then, yes, it is admin abuse and you should not be banned. Rocket has stated that he will fix this issue in time and until he does or comes out and states it is a bannable offense, you should not be banned.

"Purposely using an exploit" is not a bannable offense. You are breaking the rules. Period.

Doesn't matter. Aborting and Alt+F4 are not bannable offenses no matter what the server admins say. There are only two reasons for banning a player and those are racist comments and hacking. If there is no proof of either of those then it is admin abuse. Have a nice day. This topic is full of lulz... The likely culprit for your PC issues is all the porn sites you have been browsing, not anything else. I am 110% absolutely positive it has nothing to do with ArmA or DayZ in any way, shape or form whatsoever.

Cigs don't reduce pain, they would not replace painkillers. That's just dumb. The only function I could see Cigs doing in the game is reducing blood count slowly until you die. They could also make you cough, run out of breath faster, run slower, blur vision, give you the shakes... It IS a simulator right?

Sure it can...make the spawn timer include death by zombies and players. If you die within 5 minutes and there is a 10 min timer then you can't spawn for another 5 mins. Pretty easy.

I doubt the fly sounds will ever go. This seems a rather silly request honestly.

I was in the northwest corner of the map by the two small houses near where the Civilian Ural spawns. A bus started rolling up on me so I took cover...when it passed by I managed to kill the driver as well as another guy named Andreas. As soon as I killed them both and had aquired the bus they shut down the server. This happened at roughly 6:00 Mountain Time. This was also on the Veteran server as there are two servers by the same name...the other is a Regular server.
