Why is it that more often than not when I run into a building it doesn't have any loot piles in it? Like....no cans or bottle or anything. Logged out about 5 mins run from the NW airfields and when I got there, nothing. Not.A.Single.MOTHERFUCKING.Thing... It's been happening a lot more recently, past 2-3 days or so. What is going on? Anyone able to explain this phenomena to me?

For starters, if you don't care for the rants of angry nerds then you best look for another thread. How fucking long does it take to fix a patch? They've completely fucked the game with this recent patch and to begin with I thought "It's alpha, this sort of thing is to be expected' but now it's 5+ days after the fact and it's still not fixed? I mean what the fuck. The game is unplayable, I can barely find a server that will actually pass the loading screen and the graphical glitches are still running rampant. It's poor enough that they release such a horrid patch to begin with, but not fixing it within a reasonable time frame is even worse. Did they just give up on this mod all together and start working on this 'stand alone' version of the game? TL;DR Dev team are fucking woeful and need to hurry the fuck up with fixing the game.

Okay okay okay, the rage has faded and I feel foolish for the original post. I've started using DayZCommander rather than Six Launcher and it seems to do the trick. Apologies for the rage. I accept your banterous (new word I created just now) comments and thank all the useful suggestions. In the future I will try to make more useful threads and try to be more patient with the mod =] Sorry.

Okay, so maybe it is a privileged position we're given and yes I suppose it is a 'mod' rather than a 'game'...but cmon, how long does it take to fix a patch that has broken the mod.. Take me back to last week when I was actually able to play the game. So what I'm trying to say is... I wish they'd release working patches. EDIT: referred to mod as 'game' again out of habit.

Gather 'round boiz and gurls for a story of injustice. I spawned at cherno, a decent enough spot to spawn for any experienced player. I gathered what I could(food, water, pistol and basic meds) and headed east. After a quiet walk, I started to approach the western side of Elek, or as I like to call it 'The Barrel'. I decide that I would go the long way and approach from the north east, over the mountain, to avoid and hopefully sneak up on a sniper if they're up there as they so frequently are. I approach the most common sniper spot, with my no longer trusty M1911 with one full mag(wtf pistol nerf). To my delight, as I round the tree I see Mr. DMR lying under said tree and swiftly unload my entire clip into his upper shoulder/neck. As I'm out of ammo and he's apparently still not dead, I swap to my axe and whadda know, he's aborted/alt-f4'd. Now I know I should of aimed for the head, but it was blocked by branches and in retrospect I should of just axed him, but in the heat of the moment I thought a WHOLE MAG OF M1911 would suffice(again wtf at pistol nerf, I'm pretty sure most people would die after being shot in the upper body 7 times). Now that I've vented my frustration, time to think of some healthy solutions that will address a number of problems; - 10 second log out timer at all times. - 30 second log out timer after being engaged in player vs player combat. - 30 second 'clone' left in players place if log out timers are not met (alt-f4) that take damage and die as normal players would. When player logs in, they're required to respawn. These simple changes would stop players from aborting to avoid zeds and would also give people a fighting chance at killing others and stops players being robbed of their precious loot. TL;DR Douche 'aborter' robbed me of my loot after being engaged in Player vs. Player combat. Solutions.

Unless they simply swap servers or ghost around to a new location and shoot you in the back of the head.

You're obviously not getting the point. If someone wants to play a certain way, aka being a bandit, and there is a near full proof way to avoid being killed, or at least robbing them of your gear....then that is a problem. As previously mentioned, just because it's not a problem for YOUR play style, doesn't mean it's not a major problem. Actually, I've just re-read what you've said and I've decided you're a complete mouth breathing mongoloid. Saying that combat logging is on par with running away is completely retarded. You can shoot/catch a running target, you can't shoot someone who is no longer in the server.

If that's the way you play, power to you, but for the rest of us who enjoy the thrill of the hunt.... I think it's super exciting to see someone, stalk them and close in with an inferior weapon and take what they have....and once you've got the best, it's great to flaunt it and destroy noobies. Point is, it's a game breaker and it ruins the game for a lot of people and should be swiftly addressed.

I suppose this is good news then. It's certainly a game breaker though, fingers crossed they get it working soon!

First off I would like to say that I've tried looking in the dayZ wiki and such but couldn't find confirmation on this but here goes... What are the stats for the V3S Civillian truck. Are they the same as the URAL? To be more specific I'm talking about this vehicle - http://dayzwiki.com/...le=V3S_Civilian Anyone able to confirm the stats on this vehicle would be a great help, and while we're at it, if you know the stats of any other vehicles that are unconfirmed on the wiki, let it be known here! My mate joined up with me and another of my friends on his first life and still hasn't died, even though everyone else has multiple times, he's a baiter and overly cautious...which i find boring. He stopped playing after a week but made it to 7 days before logging off for the last time. Still hasn't died.

Typically I like to carry my main wep +2 mags, sidearm +2 mags along with all equipment i can find. Also carry 2 morphine, 3 bandages, 1 painkiller and one water bottle and one of the most important for me, as a solo player, are cooked steaks. Regaining blood is a must for the solo bandit and seeing as blood bags are useless unless you have a friend then matches and axe are always required before I head north. I always keep my backpack empty for whatever loot I come across, and typically end up filling that bad boy with whatever awesome weapons I can find to hide away at my tents.

Maybe they did, but the reason for it is they're helping promote the game and strengthen the community. Where as you're some random no-name loser who complains on the forums. Just saiyan.

I died, respawned at Drakon, then ran to the firestation, just as I got there the server I was on died. Logged onto another server and I was back where I respawned *fuck okay* run back and check firestation, other military yield, both residential high yields and another med res yield and finally the church. Out of all those places, only 2 items found were crowbars. No tins, no bottles or anything else. What the actual fuck. It was night time so I know it wasn't other players. There were also no zombies...this has happened before. Maybe I should move this thread to the bugs and errors section..

I've been in 50/50 servers and I'm very doubtful it's luck based. I find it happens the most when I run towards a place, does loot only spawn when you're coming towards a place or is it just there? Regardless, it's painfully annoying.
