    A arma 2 game without the ability to shoot other players. Perhapse they should do that in the original game aswell, remove the ability to shoot other players and only be able to be killed by the environment. Yes that sounds stupid and pointless and completely removes the idea behind the game, the same thing applies to this mod. You remove the ability to kill other players and you basicly kill the game.

    So you want a fps/rpg that isnt about defeating other players to improve your own character ? The game is about survival, yes you can get everything in the game by killing other players. You know what, thats what most FPS games are about. But i suppose you want this FPS game to be turned into a zombie grind fest with friendly fire turned off. Ummm. maybe you are misunderstanding my point. I'm stating that what reward do friendly players have that bandits can't game? Not much apart from a bit of trust. What should they have?

    " (And yes, I'm comparing this to an MMORPG. " At that point i stopped reading. Yes this is a FPS game with a RPG element but its not even close to the concept of a mmorpg. You seem to mis the point what the game is about, go right ahead with your very rare gun and kick ass equipment and 1shot some zombies. Those bandits and about to be bandits would love to find you and loot your corpse, basicly the better equipment you got the more enemys you got, even the people you think are friends.

    The axe is nice vs zombies , although when you come across a other player you are pretty much dead.

    Really ? a sticky for some whine thread like this? If players dont like player vs player interaction there is a other option in the game called Arma 2. That option is called single player, if you dont like it that you get shot by other players then dont play a multiplayer game. If you want a player vs player interaction game where any sort of combat is not possible i suggest playing a facebook game. Although there aswell you can lose to other players.

    Somehow recruitment posts in games like this make you paranoid. Its a bit like eve online and asking someone to join you in null sec all he has to do is bring all his stuff over.

    Really ? 60 fps on max settings with a 560ti ? Like absolute max with max AA and everything? Perhapse 60fps in best possible scenario in single player, but there is no way in hell that you get 60fps on max settings in multiplayer when the fighting starts.

    Now that the maintenance is over and the servers ( probably ) all rebooted i tried to join a few servers with a nice low latency and had room. However this is what i see: http://cpdv.home.xs4all.nl/arma2oa%202012-07-03%2014-23-34-06.jpg I cant move around look at anything, its a bit like the map isnt loaded. Like i said before this is what i get on several servers.

    Dont know, i dont see anything except some land and the sky with nothing else. No tree's or other kind of scenery.
