Both of you have way superior GPU's, HD4000 is integrated with the CPU, thus being bad for gaming. CPU heavy game having to deal with the GPU stuff and the it ain't that good to begin with, well it's not going to run well. 15-20fps out in the wildernes, with some serious tweaking can be achieved.

I bet that once we have more weapons, the amount of spawn locations is going to even out. Right now there is only m4 + ammo for it in military loots, so it's pretty easy to find out what you need, but when there is like 10 weapons with different calibers and magazines, it gets harder and it ain't only a arma with zombies (lol). And the east propably gets a bit more interesting when we get more civilian weapons, more loot in general. But i would like to point out that there is now atleast two new "factory"/construction sites on the western side of the map (both near lopatino) so that takes a bit out from the eastern industrials and that way making east a bit less "important". But in general i think the spawn area should be some what boring, keeping most of the people away from there and that way moving the action to bigger hotspots.

Industrials also have a small amount of military loot, atleast the big construction yards and other bigger industrials. Dunno if the khaki colored small buildings spawn those though.

Any military building can spawn ammo for M4. So in your situation i think the two firestations are your only hope. I would suggest to go around the map, find out new places and so on. That way you learn the spawns, see that the map is much more than Balota-Elektro axis and you might have some fun moments with the game.

Also, when you are full fed and hydrated, you get the "healing" or "healthy" status and from that point, you basically don't need any medical supplies because you regen so fast.

I wonder if steam maintenance has anything to do with it? It's been going for the whole morning here and it seems to be the reason. Maybe because friends are down, hive cannot get the dayz username and it doesn't save?

So if i see a running player, 500 meters away and he's closing to my friend, i shoot him and miss, it's completely ok for him to D/C asap? Just because he ran behind a tree and i cannot shoot him and he waited the 10sec timer? Whoah, that's harsh. Used to play this dayz mod called TimZ and they had like ~3-5min timers and nobody complained. That was if you were in combat, otherwise it was shorter. And if you disconnected in combat without making that timer to end, well though luck there mate, you are at coast now. Not that it matters, since everybody seem to be there anyway :D

Great, we have actually useful handguns, not the arma DMG from the mod :D Remember when 1911 and revolver used to do 4500 dmg and they were awesome weapons? No, anybody? Damn.

I was aiming a player sniping in the tower at the north end of NWAF (next to that military bunker and two industrial buildings). I was at sniper nest upper floor, my barrel was over the side of the bunker and my friend confirmed this. It looked like i could take the shot but it kept hitting the bunker, so i went prone and tried to shoot from there (pristine bipod, LRS, zeroed at 400) and even then my bullets kept hitting the bunker. This time to the floor though. So it's not zeroing NOR the grass that keeps doing this. Annoying as hell, but i read that it is a bug and it is reported so i guess all we can do is wait :P

You have some 10 year old GPU that doesn't support shader model 3?

Am i the only one who doesn't think that military loot is that important in SA? I wear black, instead of the general camo everybody prefers. Literally only things i need from military places are hunter backpack, assault vest, gasmask and black tactical shirt. On top of that black ushanka and i'm set for life. What are you guys doing if you die that much? You stay at balota, looting barracks for hours and wonder why you got shot? I can easily survive long times with the same character, staying in NWAF / surrounding towns. I rarely pump into anybody. And i keep my distance, so i don't even know if the guy was friendly :lol:

I would say that if warz did it, dayz shouldn't. All of those features are in said game.

Now that we are talking about mags, is there any info out there, if the cmags would be less reliable after time? I think i would trust the steel stanag mags more than i would trust the plastic cmag. (Unless that cmag is beta-mag, then i would trust it more :D)

You don't have to reload after 30 rounds in coupled magazine, since it is some magical beast that can change the mag on fly, so coupled. But you really should prefer mosin over M4, so much better gun :)

Almost residental can have mosin in it. Also cars, industrials, barns and office buildings are good places to find one.

Who really cares about gear when it is so easy to get? Just yesterday i gave my friend M4 (+silencer, bipod, acog & m68, MP buttstock, ris, flashlight and around 6 coupled mags.). He was playing SA for the first time and i knew that i can find Mosin in berezino, which is a way superior gun anyways. As long as i get healthy status in the first 30minutes, i don't care about anything. Firefighters axes come in plenty, you can literally find multiple in the first town after the shore. That is like the best personal defense weapon there is. Most of the players cannot shoot for a shit with M4 and they mostly miss, and while they are running away and reloading new mag, you can either run away or charge them. Besides, there is not that many objects to loot anyways, so why do people get stressed over it? I actually think that at this stage, it is more fun to die for time to time, just so you can start again. Just because once i have all black gear, hunters backpack, gun, food, something drinks and some bandages, i know i can survive for just about as long as i want, but without any goal. I've visited all the new places with my friend, and we've had almost every loot there is in the game, so there is not even that going on. North is so dead anyways, seems like server hoppers are the only ones who visit there. I can be standing in middle of NWAF with my middle finger up for hours and i bet that i die because of dehydration faster than i would die by another survivor. But the bottom line is that loot is basically worthless at this stage. Ofcourse everything changes when there is a lot more weapons, usefull gear etc. as long as surviving is harder than it is at mod (where you get a water bottle, matches and hatchet and you'll live for ever).
