Eh... I can see why you think it's a good idea but please, it's really just over the top... Perhaps you can find a gun that doesn't work well and it jams a lot... but that's it... none of that stuff that makes the gun better. :S

The problem this creates is that there could end up being way too many vehicles in one server. My advice to you is to find a server you love playing on and become a regular there. Then you can keep your vehicle.

Yeah I agree with having a little diversity in the Zed population, but don't turn this into Left 4 Dead or Dead Island!

Hmm strange... It could be a bug related with a specific server, or as mentioned before just a coincidence that you happened to wear a suit while someone flung you in the air. I've had my fair share of Ghillie suits and I have to admit, this has never happened to me :S

It's nice to see the community working together but in my personal opinion this is meta gaming... it takes the realism out of the game and I think people need to realise it's like the real world, it will be unpleasant and difficult at times, but it will be fun and easy at other times, it's all part of the Arma 2 and DayZ experience...

It happens a bit too much but Morphine Injectors are pretty easy to come by, so I usually just fill up an Alice pack with them :D

This is just a small idea I came up with while playing the other day. Seeing as you can get illnesses and infections in DayZ, I would say that the issue of Hygiene is very important. In real life if you cut yourself and then roll around in mud or suffer a wound from something dirty, or especially something metal, it can quickly become infected. Hygiene could be displayed in the Debug monitor or in the heads up display with the food and water levels. If your Hygiene reaches 0% then you are highly susceptible to illness or infections. - For instance if you break your leg and your Hygiene is at 0%, you could suffer from gang green and slowly die. Hygiene can be replenished by swimming in a lake for a short while - this of course will lower your temperature meaning by routine you should find somewhere warm afterwards, quickly.

No, it's way too easy as it is. You can just run into the nearest building and there will be a hatchet. Tired of hearing people that whine because they don't spawn with a gun. Imo you're safer without one anyway.

You don't want to lose all your cool stuff when you go into Elektro or Cherno? Then don't go into Elektro or Cherno, or leave all of your "cool stuff" somewhere safe. Seriously, this is a survival game, which means you have to make sure, yourself, that you don't get shot. I have been playing this since release and I have hardly ever been shot. I'm not being big headed or anything, but it's just pretty easy to avoid.

They have already announced that they will be implementing a system to prevent people from being able to simply just press "Abort" when being attacked by Zeds or other players. :D

If it says the server is running the wrong version, either you have not updated to the latest or the server has not, or you are joining servers which are on an old patch. It's possible that there is a bug as there has been a lot of bad stuff happening due to the DDOS attacks... Don't forget DayZ is a mod still in testing, be patient! Hope you can play soon :D

I tend to get this error with a few servers. It's usually a server-side issue from my findings, rather than client-side... just try some other servers.

I actually think that in an apocalyptic world where most of the population has died out, a tent is a great way to store goods while on the move. In real life, at a camp site, you generally leave quite a lot of things in your tent while you are away from it, and if your tent was in the middle of nowhere then there shouldn't be any worry of things getting stolen. I do like the idea of sleeping them temporarily to recover from illness. They also need a little fix so you know how much space is left in the tent.

He probably had broken legs... if he didn't move he might have been AFK? Also, I have a couple of friends and an ex-girlfriend who suffer from dyslexia and they do not have sloppy language and grammar errors like you, so don't use it as an excuse. Furthermore, you just got someone killed.

I would not recommend Fraps. While the quality is great, the compression is terrible. You will experience file sizes of over 1GB just for a few seconds of recording (this of course is all dependent on resolution settings of course.) I now use Bandicam, the quality is similar to Fraps and the compression is brilliant. Please contact me here on the forums or I go by the same name on Twitter, if you want help or more information! I am 20 years old, I have been playing DayZ almost since its first public release. I take the game quite seriously, concerning surviving. I am a patient player and already play with two friends, located in the UK and in Beglium. We are quite casual players, despite taking the game seriously. We all study or have jobs. However this doesn't affect our relationship in the game, we have great teamwork and we have almost made it to the top of the leaderboards on multiple occasions. There is nothing silly about a DDOS attack, it's a very serious matter which the DayZ team are working at full throttle to recover from. If you haven't noticed, the game is still in Alpha testing, so expect downtimes, bugs and glitches. Read the news and announcements before posting here!

The most rewarding thing for me is surviving, not just by myself but with my two team-mates by my side. If one of them dies I feel like I have failed. I enjoy the feeling of being successful as a team. I have almost made it to the leaderboard before and that is extremely rewarding!

I'll tell you why you may or may not like Arma 2: Combined Operations and DayZ. -Very patient, time consuming game -Realistic, really sucks you into the game -You die, you lose everything and start over, expect to die a lot at the start -It is not fast-paced like Call of Duty -Huge persistent world. -Pretty cheap for what it is -DayZ is constantly updated, almost daily, sometimes even twice per day. -Very fun to play with friends.

There is a problem with the weapons disappearing/falling through the floor when you drop them in some servers, it makes switching to your hatchet very unreliable and you kinda go off the idea... the problem with that is that you then start wasting ammo and drawing attention to yourself... In my opinion the best thing to do is use a Hatchet until you have all of your important supplies (Medical, food, maps, bags, etc) before going to a military camp and picking yourself up a good gun... If you happen to get some zeds on your ass, find a building to run into, drop your gun and switch to your hatchet, it's the only real solution up for offer at the moment. ):
