I've used one to secure myself and a buddy in the market at Stary. We used it to block the back room and watch the front while the worst sniper/grenadier of all time tried to engage us. After a failed frontal assault, he went around back and set off the trap. He then logged out. But when I heard that snap I laughed so hard. Made my night.

I generally get gunned down when I do medic runs, unarmed or not. Still, it's one of my favorite things to post up in Cherno/Elektro and provide medical services.

I agree with the above statement, zed are underpowered. They are a minimal threat in most situations.

In your position- I would say if it's taken you this long to think about DayZ; you might as well wait for the standalone. That's simply my opinion though.

I haven't heard EB Games in ages. Most of the EB Games are now Gamestops here. I've had a DayZ moment at the gas pump. My friend Jason and I had stopped to get gas, and we both play. I was talking to him about how I set up medical camps in Berizino through the window when a guy from the car at the pump ahead of us walked over and poked me in the shoulder. "Did you just say Berezino? Like DayZ?" "Yeah?" He held up his hand for a high five "FUCK YEAH MAN, I LOVE THAT SHIT!" I high fived him and went on with my day. Enthusiasm~

Make a zombie mod for a military sim and then make that mod into a military sim. Seems ass backwards to me.

My first contact was in Cherno. I met a guy who was new to the game like me, and we set out to try and find the hospital because he was pretty hurt. We picked up two more equally fresh players along the way(or more accurately; what we thought was the way) We found the firestation, and decided to go up on the roof to get a better view of where we needed to go. Two of our guys were roughed up pretty bad from some zed encounters; so I volunteered to go find the hospital and bring medical stuff back to the group while they defended the rooftop. As I made my way down the ladder; one of the guys on the roof walked to the edge and shot me to death with a makarov out of the blue. Oh, DayZ.

I think bloodbagging yourself would ruin the healing element of DayZ. If that were the case, you would have absolutely no reason under the moon and sky to interact with another player. I think you'd just see a rise in murderers with bags full of blood to fuel their sprees. That said, this is most definitely not the first time this has been suggested. Use the search function next time.

I rock whatever I come across. Recently, this has left me as a very intimidating hero walking around with an MK48 Mod 0. If I had my choice, I guess I'd go with a M1014 for primary, and a silenced M9 secondary. I think shotguns cry out "zombie hunter!" more than rifles do, so that's my reasoning.
